World of Medieval Copyright, Rules and Explanation - Page 3

The Game Master says...

Medieval Accountability

Once you become an RPGer you are automatically included in Medieval.

1. Every 24 hours all RPGers will get a Reminder to visit the Medieval RPG Party Stats. this will be seen at the top of every page in the Community.

2. If they visit the Party Stats then the reminder is removed for that day, the next day the Reminder will come back. The reason for this is Medieval requires at least a visit ONCE per day from each player.

3. If they do not want the reminder then they have the option to click the link called, 'Change Character Status' and remove themselves from Medieval.

4. The process of removal changes their status in the Medieval Threads and also gives a reason so that the Party Leader can know what has happened to them.

5. If later the RPGer wishes to participate in a Medieval game then they will have to change their status back to 'Available' and pay the FP requested.

6. Later if an RPGer has not visited the RPG Stats page for several days then their 'Availability' is automatically changed to 'Not Available'. When this happens the RPGer will have to manually enter the Change Status Page and select to be 'Available' again.

All World of Medieval Options In One Place

In October 2009 all the World of Medieval Boards and Threads were merged into one Board, therefore if you read anything that references visiting various Boards then it is mostly likely referring to a Board that can be found here.

Q. How is Hit Points and Armor Class calculated?

A. This all depends on your character, defaults and equipment. Lets go over hit points first, herein after "HP".

Hit Points or HP

The average Body is between 9-12 which gives a HP of 6.

If your Body is 13-14 then +1
If your Body is 15-16 then +2
If your Body is 17-18 then +3

Example: A character with a Body of 17 will have 9 HP

Likewise if your Body is under the average:

If your Body is 8-7 then -1
If your Body is 6-5 then -2
If your Body is 4-3 then -3

Armor Class or AC

Claculating your armor class is trickier:

The average AC of someone with just clothes on in an attitude of defending them-self is 10. I say in an attitude of defending because if your character's back is turned it may be 5 or less and if you are sleeping then 0.

For the sake of this example lets say you are defending yourself with just clothes on... Therefore we are at AC 10. Then add bonuses based on your Body:

If your Body is 13-14 then +1
If your Body is 15-16 then +2
If your Body is 17-18 then +3

Example: A character with a Body of 17 will have an AC of 13 with just clothes on.

Likewise if your Body is under the average:

If your Body is 8-7 then -1
If your Body is 6-5 then -2
If your Body is 4-3 then -3

Now you have to factor in your Armor. In the Market page it tells you the AC of what you buy. If you buy some leather boots then your AC will get a +1. With that in mind lets sum it up:

If you have a Body of 17 that gives you a +3 bonus to the average AC of 10 which equals AC 13. You add boots to your character which gives you a +1 bonus and now your AC is 14.
