With the addition of a few very light pastel colors, I now enjoy the Executive skin. I will defiinitely use it for a few days now, to get used to it.

Now that I am becoming more familiar with the Executive skin, I find I like it. It is true familiarity breeds comfort and so I think I prefered Red just because I was so comfortable with it. I really like the looks of this Executive skin and recommend it to all.

I agree, and I have become so familiar with the Matrix skin now (plus it looks so cool!) that I can't make another switch to the Executive skin, even though it has its advantages. I really like the dark colors and feel of the Matrix skin; I think it matches my personality well, so I'll be sticking with it for the long run.

Executive Skin

I am glad that some of you are enjoying the Executive Skin. We just added banner themes to it so that there is more of a 'custom' feeling. Your preference is shown just beneath the 'International Discussions' text to the left in the form of a thumbnail.

Bare Bones Skin

After much consideration we felt it would be good to introduce a BARE BONES Skin that would take out ALL the links and features and just allow a user to get INTO discussions right away. This will cater for those who easily get confused as well as allow those who are here for discussion only and nothing more to get to the meat of the matter - the threads, posts, topics, etc. You can test this skin via the drop down Skin selector if you wish. The Bare Bones Skin is now the default Skin which means all new members will see this Skin First.

Note: The poll has also been edited so that the Bare Bones Skin is an option.

I think the bare bones skin is a good skin for new users to have as their first view of the forum - to not get overwhelmed with extra features and links. Still, it's important for them to know that there is more to the forum than what they see in the bare bones skin.

Yes that it is very true and I was thinking of making a page that specifically tells about each Skin. Also, although the links are not present the Bare Bones Skin can still access all the features, but you would have to know where to find it. Maybe I should put a link to the top with 'Compare' so they know all that the site has to offer.

New Skin!

Medieval is now an option from the Drop Down Skin Menu and it features a unique custom built design, but beware, this is not for dial-up users as it is graphic intense. This skin was also added to the poll above.
