I still remember the first time I ever got a Sega Genesis.
It was my sixth… or eighth… or seventh… birthday, and I was overwhelmed by the fact that I owned my own console. That night, I did not rest until I finished the whole Sonic the Hedgehog game. My mother and father were VERY angry at me for doing such, but I was too infatuated with it to care.
Sega was my first love for any console and still is. In fact, my brother and I bought ourselves a new Sega Genesis from our local Hastings for like… 30 bucks. Came with four games, but we already were equipped with our own. That night was endless platform gaming and long lived memories.
I love my Sega Genesis. My brother got it for Christmas one year and we slowly acquired games from garage sales and family friends. One of my favourite games was Gun Star Heroes. I also liked Dynamite Heady. And Pirates: Gold. How can you go wrong with a game that lets you play as a pirate?
I stil have my Sega and I love it. Awesome system. Lots of fun games.
Also, Sega was bought out by Nintendo. And that's why Sonic recently appeared in a Mario game (Olympics, I believe).
