The Sorcerer's Apprentice
Many are wondering if this film is cursed. The Sorcerer's Apprentice, starring Nicolas Cage as Balthazar Blake, is being filmed in New York City and so far two accidents have happened. This is the news about the first one:

Comments: As someone who was there when it happened, I can tell you that the film crew was in no way at fault for the second accident. The street was supposed to be closed until about 5 in the morning. The crew wrapped filming for the night at about 3 am and the cop, who was supposed to be keeping the street clear, thought that meant he could leave. The cop moved the cones that were blocking the road and left, even though the crew was still loading their equipment into the trucks. At about 3:30 am, a woman in a BMW SUV sped down the road and slammed into one of the picture cars parked on the side of the road(a jeep), which in turn slammed into some of the crew members, who were talking on the sidewalk. It was horrible to see the people laid out on the sidewalk, bleeding and in pain. In the end, the police were the ones at fault. Oh, also, there was only one minor injury in the first accident. The guy who was "pinned" under the light pole was faking it. Apparently, he actually ran towards the pole and positioned himself underneath it as it bounced, in the hopes of collecting money in a lawsuit. When they took him to the hospital, there was no evidence of injury due to an impact.
If I remember correctly there is security at every hollywood project. This is a private security company who is there to make sure that no one unauthorized makes it onto a set. What happened to them? If they were there and the police officer started to remove cones why did the security not stop him?
The Sorcerer's Apprentice - Master sorcerer Balthazar Blake recruits a seemingly everyday guy in his mission to defend New York City from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath.

I saw this movie today and I have to say even with all that happened I think it turned out to be a nice movie. There were some parts that were a little far fetched but that is in almost every movie. I would go see the movie again. I may buy the DVD. I rate this 3
