Special Holiday Panda Fu Kung

I caught a snippet of this while my little sister was watching Kung-Fu Panda - Holiday. It is interesting how the "holiday" depicted in this film is neither Christmas nor the traditional Chinese Lunar Holiday. There were paper lanterns but also animals building snowmen. I suppose that's due to the localization of setting of this movie.

It's like Disney's Mulan. Mulan was originally a traditional epic poem (I believe?) written in 500 AD. One change between the original text and the movie is that in the movie, China is fighting the Huns, or the Mongols, while in the text, China is fighting a lesser known state in the north. Another change is that in the movie, Mulan is portrayed as a rebel, not fitting in the traditional female role in ancient China and rather is a tomboy. However, in the poem, she is just a typical Chinese female forced to make a choice to protect her family.
