Huge Monitors!

I was by a friends house yesterday, and he has a 19" monitor and it was such a pleasure to see some of my sites in it. It was like a whole new world had opened up to me (I use a 14" now). The only thing I did not like about it was the back - it looked so cumbersome. Besides led screens, which I do not like, what is the biggest you have used?

I have a 19" monitor at home and like you mentioned, it is heaven! I have 17" monitors at work. My smallest screen is the one on my laptop, which I run through the 17" when at work anyway. I do agree the 19" is very heavy, but with the advent of LCD's, that is a thing of the past. However, the prices are very high still for LCD's.

JB, you can purchase a 38" CRT monitor these days; for a hefty price of course. Here is a description of such a monitor from PriceGrabber.com

I also use a 19" monitor with an awesome resolution of 1600x1200. It's amazing how much easier multi-tasking gets with one of these babies.

I used to use a 21" monitor at work, but now use a 17" flat screen LCD. There isn't a huge difference in size. Well, a 17" LCD is about equal to what would be an 18" CRT, so there is some difference, but the fact that my LCD is flat and my CRT wasn't also is a factor.

I also use a 17" LCD at home. It belongs to my office. They gave me a PC and monitor for use at home (they retain ownership) so that I can easily connect to the office when necessary. If I had to spend my own money, I would not have purchased a 17" LCD...to expensive.

The biggest I have used is a 17". I used to use a 15" CRT, and my current monitor is a 17" LCD. Although I would like a bigger one, I do not have a real need for it, nor do I have the budget.
I have seen some games played on a 21" CRT monitor, and they looked nice to say the least.
When I eventually get to start my game entertainment company, I am planning on equipping all of the computers with high-definition wide-screen LCD-TVs with high-end graphics cards. Although there is a limited number of games and such which can utilize a wide-screen monitor, I expect that that number will take a big jump within the next few years.
