Special Needs Student Protected By Mormon Jock
He started asking her to eat at the cool kids' lunch table with him and his teammates. "I just thought that if they saw her with us every day, maybe they'd start treating her better," Carson says. "Telling on kids would've just caused more problems." Ref. Source 6
I'm not a Mormon but if this is how Mormons treat each other then this is great, a real inspiring story and like the subtitle said, "True Christian example".
I couldn't avoid but feel emotional while reading this story because I have a 12 year old son who is special needs and he is bullied and made fun of at Church by the other young men for being "Different". It shouldn't be that way, there is enough of that outside the Church to now have to deal with it in Church setting. It breaks his heart and mine.
