Just normal busy time, in my opinion. I saw that my game speeds up or slows down in an apparently random way. I mean, it doesn't depend on how interesting or "Full of action" the current situation is. Sometimes I update the game and after few hours I see plenty of replies. Sometimes just like this. One day and only you and Luke appearing on the thread.
By the way Kit, I wanted to ask you how many players you will still accept. I keep addressing new members to your game but I don't really know much space you still have. Not a problem, right now, since none of them showed any interest by now... I don't know, it happens quite often: new members post an introduction saying they look for Rpg but then they disappear. We are still lucky. When Oliron was still a Dungeon Master here, many people drafted a character and then never posted in the game Thread. I think that this thing would drive me mad (laugh)

Right now I have my "happy number". Enough people that I think the party is balanced and can work together, but not to many that I go nuts. However, I can fit up to 3 more people in before that happy number is the slight bit overwhelming. While, 3 less and I would be frantically looking for more players.

Update on the "My Computer" front:
Decided not to rebuild a new desktop(for now), and bought a laptop. It should arrive(hopefully) by Monday or Tuesday.

About your question: The +5 is your ranged attack bonus. So, when you fire an arrow with your shortbow this is how you calculate everything:
To HIt: D20 result +5 (ranged attack bonus) -Range increment penalty (if the target is farther than 60 feet)
Damage: 1d6 (no bonus or penalty)

If you have the "Point Blank Shot" feat, you get +1 to Hit and to Damage if the target is within 30 feet. There are also other Feats and Class Abilities which can affect your To Hit and Damage rolls, but Point Blank Shot is a common one that comes into play.

I get it now, so the +5 is what I get on my d20 roll but on the damage there is no bonus unless I'm using a composite bow then in which case I add my strength bonus to the damage? Whew, how do you guys keep up with ll this and I just have a fighter!
