Ok, thank you for the info. Is not a problem for me waiting, as long as I'm sure he is enjoying and willing to keep on playing. I'll post something about Ferrin's whereabouts in the next game update.
Great news! His character is a fun one to have in the party and he role-plays Ferrin in an awesome way. I would lie if I said that I liked all the characters and all the players in the same way: I was happy when FoxRogue left. He was clearly a cheater and nobody will change my opinion on this. Also when they deleted Berin's owner (I forgot his username), not even a blink. Only sad about Thonata quitting, he was ok. But I'm happy with the current party and I would like to keep the same players as long as possible. Looking at the characters, the party is not perfectly balanced (it strongly misses a pure wizard: much better than sorcerers in my opinion. Has to memorize but can learn new spells and choose from a wider range), but I like the players and that's the most important thing to have fun.
I have had the same feeling for some of my players or um old ones. I still wish there was a better dice program. Something you could put in to the text format and not see the result till its posted and something that could not be edited. Its a bad thing to think ones players might be cheating its more hard to be some one that understands you can have a streak of good rolls and as well as bad ones. Some times failing makes the game more fun too! if we won at everything then game would be boring sooner then later.
That's true: always succeeding in everything is boring. That's why I'm strongly convinced that cheaters will quit: they will not have fun. Is hard to know if a player is just being lucky or is cheating in the beginning, but I think we can easily know it on the long term. A streak of good rolls is always possible but it doesn't last forever. Moreover, we know that low level characters can easily fail a roll so we would not be good Masters if we didn't balance the game taking bad rolls into account. Think about iCon: he was always very unlucky with his combat rolls (if I remember well, he only hit twice so far) but he is still there. That doesn't mean bad things can't happen, but missing some rolls is not the end of the world. Characters can die even if they roll 20 everytime.
I wanted to say sorry about my last post, I didn't know that his personal pendant had to be added to the inventory list, and he only saw the others because he heard some noise in the ditch and looked in to see what it was, I'm sorry for posting badly, I didn't mean to.
I'd like to stay a part of the party if you guys don't mind waiting for me. Looks like I've got about a week (or less) left of preparations and travel before I get settled in to where I'll be working for the next few months.
LUKEGO
Not a problem. I will keep Ferrin hot for when you will have more time for posting. Everybody can have a busy period and I can understand that. Is important that you updated me on your intention to keep playing so I will not open any new slots for the game. See you soon.
CARMANA
I didn't say you posted badly. I was trying to explain you the dynamics of the game. Using as an example what you posted above:
Carmana ©: Carnosus checks his pockets.
Master (M): Carnosus notices that his pendant is missing.
C: Shoot! My pendant! I need absolutely to find it back!
M: Carnosus searches for the pendant. After wandering for almost an hour, he finds it next to a large stone. Probably it fell off his pockets while he was walking. As he bends to retrieve the pendant, Carnosus hears some voices coming from the ditch next to him.
C: Carnosus looks down in the ditch to discover the source of the voices.
M: To his surprise, Carnosus sees two of his companions talking about something.
This is the way in which things work. You can't decide by yourself that you are just next to your companions and that you heard their voices. I have to tell you. If I don't say anything it means that nothing is happening. If not, why having a Game Master? You could just post something like: "Carnosus defeats all his enemies, solves all the mysteries and is now level 20". The Game Master describes what happens in the world and the players use their characters basing their actions on what have been described. That's why there are skills such as Listen, Search, Spot and so on. They are skills that you use to interact with your surroundings so, if the Master doesn't mention voices, you can use Listen to check if you can hear them. Hope it helps.
