We all put a little bit of ourselves in our characters: that's unavoidable. You and your character have some common traits, not everything of course. You both are straightforward, don't care about how other people will judge your actions, have a frontal approach to problems preferring to be clear rather than diplomatic.
My fault, I should not mention that. I usually keep to myself my observations. I know is strange, but for me is normal getting a general picture about the people I deal with catching glimpses of their personality from casual comments or small gestures. Call it empathy, if you want. Is not something I do by purpose, it just happens. In real life, I often understand right away when somebody is telling a lie, or if people is sad even if smiling and things like that. I mean strangers, not people I already know. I never pretended to be normal (laugh).
I need your feedback about the automatic dice system that was recently implemented in this Board. I think that rolling the dice is one of the most enjoyable moments for a player and the new system spoils that completely. If you guys agree with me, I will have it disabled for our Game and we will keep rolling like usual. I prefer the risk of a player cheating rather than having all the players not having fun only to avoid that risk.
Please let me know what you think because I have to confirm if we will be using it or not. I thought we would have an active dice roller, not something that comes automatically with every single post. Keep in mind that, if we refuse it, we will not have the chance to get it back.
Feedback about the automatic dice system.
I wish it did not post on every post. We don't roll dice that often and we don't take actions that often.
1. I like how its something that can not be tampered with or edited.
2. I do not like how it rolled every type of dice every time you post.
3. I like how it rolled the dice you need 2 times.
4. I wish there was a manual click down bar in the "More options" Post making page, where I could select D20 then how many times I want it rolled say x 3 then that is what will show up and only when I ask for it. I like the fact that the declared action and modifier is still manual. So a post would say something like, "I jump from one roof to the other roof. Action taken jump +3." That way then after the roll shows up it easy to take the given result and just add the +3 manually after the fact rather then having to plug things in while making the post something that would be to complex I think for some players.
Rolling the dice really is enjoyable even if its just hitting a button to make it happen. Make the button automatic and rolling far more often then needed adding clutter to the pages we are reading and it turns rightly not so fun to do or see a lot of numbers that are not needed.
Sorry if this seams like a lot of feedback but I am talking from both a Dungeon Master and player here.

Having an in-post Dice Roller is a nice option for a Dungeon Master to choose from when setting up their game. For our game, I don't think it is necessary. We already have developed an acceptable method of rolling dice and Bruconero tracks our rolls to determine if there is any tampering. Additionally, there is really no reason to roll two of every die type on every post. Sometimes you need to roll just 1d20, sometimes you need to roll 2d20, 1d8, and 4d6 all at once.
The fact that it hides the dice rolls even from the Dungeon Master until 31 minutes have passed is also annoying. What if the Dungeon Master wants to move the game along faster than that? What about the times when the Dungeon Master doesn't want the players to see the results of their roll at all?
The basic premise of having dice rolls directly associated with a post is sound, but the current implementation lacks the options necessary to make it viable. At a minimum, the number and type of dice needs to be determined by the poster and should be immediately viewable by the Dungeon Master.
I'm surprised everyone is griping over something that makes rolls easier. I thought it was cool that I didn't have to roll anymore, just put my action and that was it so I could focus more on character actions. So what if the Dungeon Master has to wait 31 minutes, he has to wait days for some of you to even show up and make a post.
So now it becomes days + half an hour
I think Lukego has a very valid point about the 4d6 or more that are sometimes required
One major oversight I believe, is that only the Dungeon Master should be able to view Dungeon Master rolls, as some are made in secret.
I know that coding can be hard, especially with vague design constraints, but I think some middle ground can be established in time.
