Confused by the fury of the battle, Tomas swings at the air in front of him cutting off several small branches from the surrounding trees. A few steps from him, a brave peasant tackles the dog charging from the west: with a timely jump, the beast avoids the commoner's club and throws the man to the ground. 20 feet to the east, Jonathan slays his direct opponent and prepares himself to withstand that fatal attack that never arrives. Excited by the taste of fresh blood, the other two dogs fight for their prey, tearing apart the flesh of the dead peasant with rapid movements of their jaws. His companion runs away in fear dropping his weapon next to the ranger's feet. In the woods, Krusten and the peasant's leader engage the remaining dog. The animal avoids the girl's spear and tries to seek shelter in the thick vegetation. Krusten, I need an attack of opportunity (d20 + d6).
Krusten's spear reaches the dog just over one of his rear legs. The beast falls, but manages somehow to crawl away between the bushes just a moment before the club of the peasant's leader can land the final bow. A trail of blood reveals the direction in which is fleeing. Anntreen finally finds her way through the foliage and joins the disappointed couple. Next round.
Jon, not wanting to face the wolfs by himself as injured as he is, makes his way towards the others, backing up slowly so as to keep an eye out on the wolves he's leaving behind.
Out of Character: I thought the GM said they aren't wolves, why do you keep calling them wolves? And it is "Wolves" not "Wolfs"
In Character: Krusten retrieves her spear cleaning off the blood on the dead animal. She then immediately attends to her wounds while thanking the peasant leader for helping her.
"I am indebted to you" she says but not wanting to sound as though she will become a slave she adds, "My journey with you will help repay for this".
Krusten leaves the woods and comes to the open nearer the caravan.
