Jeaal lowers himself down in the ditch and manages to land on his tips and immediately transfer the weight on the back of his feet, thus avoiding any damage from the fall. He approaches Anntreen and notices that the healer fell on her arm that is still bended in an uncomfortable position under her body. She has a red, swollen mark on her forehead: probably also the head hit the hard terrain when she slept on the edge of the gap. She is conscious, only still trying to recover from the pain. Other than help her to get back on her feet and out of the ditch, there's little that Jeaal can do right now.
Out of Character: Heal is for stabilizing dying characters or for other types of long term care. Useless in a situation like this one. Anyway, your roll would have been a failure.
In Character: "Are we simply waiting here?" announces Krusten wondering what the rest of the party is doing.
Out of Character: Maybe I got lost their for a second but besides the two that are playing in the ditch what are we doing?
Out of Character: We came across some camped men and started talking to them. I should've replied sooner, but the question of who we are really stumped me. Then I remembered Tomas is a paladin and has very few possible answers.
In Character:Tomas had been stumped by the man's question for a few seconds, when Krusten's question snaps him out of it. "We are a group of travellers tasked with investigating banditry in the area. I assume upstanding soldiers of the army will be able to assist us in our plight." Tomas gauges the reactions of the men as he speaks hoping for someone to flinch and give their lie away.

Out of Character:: I lost my train of thought for a second Krusten as well.
In Character:: Ja'laron walks over to the fire and warms his hands. "Let me get this straight. We just have to burn these carts and stay away from the army? Sounds simple enough, but where are we getting the carts?"
"Hearing Tomas speak, Ja'laron laughs at his friend, "You meathead you are a funny one. Sorry about my frIend he takes a lot of blows on his head." He gives Tomas a look as to tell him to shut up.

"You did not need to come running down here after me. If you had stayed up there you might of been able to lift me out. Well, now we are down here what do you want to do try to get out or move along this ditch like a path and head a way from the rest of the party?" if we get out we will be in the forest with possibly bore but able to head north toward the smoke. If we travel west- well I don't know ill leave this to you."
Carnosus keeps running back looking for his pendant, he sees a glint on the ground. He stops and picks it up, a sigh of relief escapes his lips. "Found it! That was lucky! Hm?" He hears something from the ditch and looks in, he sees his friends a little farther back and face palms. "How far back did I go anyway? I must have dropped it when I got peeved at Tomas, oh well, maybe I should hang back? I am tired from running all the way back here any ways". He stretched his sore muscles and walked to the spot where his elvish friends were, he looked down and gently kicked a spall cluster of pebbles into the ditch to get there attention, he looked at his pendant quickly, he sighed as he thought a bird must have carried it this far back, "Stupid birds, going after the shiny stuff"
Jeaal grimaces, "Sorry, my instincts took over. I thought you might have been seriously injured." His smile returns once he realizes she is healing herself. " Let's get out of this ditch and go see what that smoke is."
He attempts to climb the side of the ditch.
Out of Game : Climb : 7 + 3 = 10
The men look puzzled by Thomas and Ja'laron's assertions. They look at each other, like pondering their answers. After a long pause, one of them says: "Sir, we don't know anything about bandits in the area. We never had problems so far. Yeah, we are far away from the main trade routes and maybe we are not suitable targets, but nobody has bothered us during the time we have been here".
Almost interrupting his companion, another one says: "You may want to talk to Albert about this. He is our boss and he is the one dealing with the soldiers. Maybe the soldiers are after the bandits as well". Another one answers to Ja'laron's question: "The carts? I don't know. No questions, no answers. That's the rule. I guess the soldiers get supplies from the Army and maybe bringing back the carts is not something that interest them. Why a military encampment would need wool is something that is beyond my comprehension but, hey, I'm not here to think but only to work. And get my 5 silvers".
The rest of the group keeps burning wooden planks, one by one, throwing the iron nails in the fire as well. They seem curious about the party but still not daring to ask too many questions. They look around nervously, like if afraid that somebody could see them talking to you.
Out of Character: Carmana: I know you are new to the game so I will explain you briefly how role-playing games work. I will use your last actions as an example. If you have a pendant or medallion, it would be in your inventory (which you didn't update). If you lost it, is because I said that. If you found it, again is because I said that. If you found it just where some party members were doing something which your character isn't supposed to know, is once again because I said that. Therefore, your recent posts are not correct role-playing: you are finding a reason to bring your character in a place where he would not be supposed to be. What you (as a player) know is different from what your character knows. Role-playing means that you use your character pretending that you know what he is supposed to know and that you don't know things that, as a player, you know. Example: in another game you fought a Troll. You, as a player, know that troll's weakness is fire. But, maybe, your new character never had experiences with trolls so he is not supposed to know it. You should play pretending you know nothing about fire being a way to kill trolls.
Oinodaemon: man, update your inventory. Probably you copy and paste the equipment from your first draft during character creation: you still have the horse and the saddle which...you don't have.
