In Character: Krusten looks to see if there is something she can climb to get a better view: hill, tree, some rocks. At the same time she does not want to be seen. Noticing the holy man following her... She says to him in an undertone, "It's about time you followed someone."
Mina moves off to the tree line to conceal herself among the brush with some space from Thomas and Krustin, but near enough to hear each of them if needed. She crouches as best she can, trying to be as small as she can. She will set her quarterstaff in the foliage, and make ready with her scimitar and shield, if needed.
AT THE DITCH
Jeaal, Anntreen and Ferrin decide to enter the woods attracted by the voices. They follow the direction from which the sounds were coming from, until they reach a small clearance. A group of commoners is standing by the border of the clearance and, in the middle of it, a single figure faces them with an innocent expression: Ja'laron!
Everybody is still unaware of your presence.
IN THE WOODS
Carnosus tries to approach the area where the strangers are. After a few steps, he trips on a protruding root and loses his balance ending up against a huge trunk: realizing that the goofy accident produced a lot of noise, he lays on the ground seeking cover in the undergrowth. "What was that?", asks somebody not too far from him. Carnosus hears the sound of people approaching then, when they almost reached him, somebody else calls out:"Let's move. We don't want to stumble on more boars". Peeking through the foliage, Carnosus sees several commoners heading in the direction of the small camp.
AT THE CAMP
Ja'laron waits at the center of the small clearance while the others try to hide in the vegetation. The voices get closer and closer. A group of commoners emerge from the woods. The first thing that comes to your mind is that there's no way they might be soldiers, at least not regular ones. Not only their attire, but the way they move and act or speak, all talk about petty scum and not disciplined members of an army.
They wear worn leather shirts, similar to the one used by Albert, and are armed with improvised weapons. You can count six of them, four armed with rusty, dented daggers, and two holding rudimental bows made with animal bones. They speak with the same intonation used by the workers that you met before crossing the ditch.
"Yeah, sure", is saying one of them to the man you first met by the ditch and that was evidently captured after fleeing. "Elves, why not? I saw them too! They were riding a dragon and singing a ballad while on his back!". Then, in an angered tone: "If you don't start telling me the truth I will...". He suddenly shuts up, confused, his eyes pointed on Ja'laron. "And who the hell are you?", he asks, "Where did you get that cloak?". "Weapons!", he adds in surprise seeing the rogue's daggers on the ground. What happens next is as quick as it is confused. "Albert!", shouts one of the man spotting the dead man. His scream is immediately followed by another one: "Somebody is hiding in the woods! Down there!". The men are alarmed and ready for a fight: two arrows are pointed at Ja'laron that, with the corner of his eye, can see Tomas' head sticking out from the vegetation.
Anntreen stops and hides as soon as she sees the people in the clearing. She will with hope to hear what they are saying. But, before that she will make it so she can not be seen, using a hand jester to the others to get down low and hide.
Recalling how the others had reacted when they saw some one with pointed ears such as herself she knows whatever her party mate in the clearing is doing, it will be best if she and the others in her small sub group stay hidden.
She had a bad feeling however, that something was going to happen soon and, likely nothing good.
Carnosus sighs to himself and slowly draws his blade for if it is needed, he stood up slowly and got ready to help. If he is able he will quickly tie his rope to a tree near the ditch and send the rest down so he use the ditch as cover if needed
In Character: Krusten, seeing that this no large army, comes down from the tree and with bow notched and ready she comes towards the clearing but not running, just a fast pace. Her motive being to dispel that we are trying to ambush them. If they at all try to be aggressive she will have not problem attacking immediately.
Jeaal draws his bow in a flash, fletching to cheek, he is ready to fire at the first sign of aggressive motion. He holds his shot for the moment, although he is fairly sure these are the bandits the group was after.
