IN THE CLEARING
Relieved that all the misunderstandings have been settled, the man answers to Ja'laron in a more relaxed way: "No, I haven't heard anything yet but, I mean, we are not the first to be warned in case of a new task and I doubt Berghost will want to employ us again after what happened yesterday. Captain Tomlin was furious, I heard, and Berghost kicked Albert's ass so hard that he spent the night here with the workers". "Not the wisest choice....", he adds glancing at the lifeless body of the thug.

MEANWHILE....
Mina, Jeaal, Ferrin and Anntreen decide to proceed northwest to check out the main camp. After a few steps, Anntreen realizes that everybody else is looking at her in a strange way: encumbered by her heavy backpack and the cumbersome staff, the healer is passing through the thick woods being as stealthy as an elephant could be. Several branches snap under her feet and one of them gets stuck in her tunic forcing the priestess to drop her bag to free herself.
You wonder if the noise was detected by the people at the worker's camp but you don't have to wait too long for the answer...

BACK AT THE CLEARING
Having gained trust in the party, the man would probably have answered all the questions with the honesty that usually comes from stupidity. But something unexpected comes to change the situation. Suddenly, all of you can hear the sound of something, or someone, clumsily moving in the woods to the west. The men look alarmed. "Wild boars!", is the call on the mouth of all of them. Forgetting about Tomas and Carnosus, they start running away in all the directions.

Out of Character: Carnosus and Tomas still have a chance to act before the men get away.

Tomas turns to the sound and draws his longsword.
"Stand!" he shouts with all the tact he can muster. "Pick up your weapons and make a stand with me!"

Krusten, who knew that the others were moving ahead and probably the ones making noise begins to roll her eyes. She sees the prisoners escape but makes no motion to capture them. Frustrated she simply sticks her spear into the ground while still holding on to it with anger probably still left over from her intimidation routine. She then sighs and decides that being in the middle of a clearing is not the most safe place to be. She looks for a large tree as a lookout and posts herself there listening and watching until she can see some kind of order below.

Jeaal crouches low and maintains his ready position with his bow. He stays at the front of the group, prepared to defend his party members with his life, if need be.

Mina looks to Anntreen among the sound of the men in the clearing shouting in panic and asks, "What do you have in there? Never mind, I'll try to turn this back."

Mina runs back to the clearing shouting, "False alarm! I'm not a boar. I just clumsily tripped over a stump back there! No need to fear, friends!"

Tomas tries to rally the commoners and, sword in hand, makes an example of himself. Inspired by the bold and fearless attitude shown by the paladin, the men collect their weapons and get ready to stand ground. A few instants later, Mina comes out from the vegetation reassuring everybody about the source of the noise. But for one of the commoners is too late. Ignoring Tomas words, the man kept fleeing at full speed passing past Carnosus and Krusten and disappearing in the woods to the south.

When is clear that the rest of the Sorians have no intention to run away, Ja'laron loosens his grasp on the arm of the man that he was questioning. "And where is this one coming from?", he asks a little bit confused. Then, almost talking to himself: "Another woman?". You can feel disbelief in his voice and see a new expression in his eyes. "Maybe is better if we go back to the camp. All of us", he states.
