Ferrin begins to become restless. He shifts slightly in order to slide his backpack gently to the ground, trying to move only when the commoners are throwing logs on the fire or the volume of the conversation raises slightly.

"Now, now," Tomas interjects. "Let's keep it civil. Let me first respond about the badge. Where else could we have found information? I have not seen a book for months, since my pilgrimage began. And that answers your other question. I am a missionary of Felnuus, Tomas by name, bonded to this group for safety." He motions to the group to introduce themselves.

Carnosus found himself actually organizing his bag, he had a habit of getting to into an act, he sighed to himself and put the knife back. He looked up from his work when Tomas spoke and saw him gesture for introductions. "My name is Carnosus Darnok. I'm a ranger from the Mazonssurr forest, traveling to see the world and test my skills, I ran into this group just recently and now I'm helping them any way I can"

In Character: Krusten, fearing no man, [stands] up...

"What, you think we are children? It was your underling that sent us to you. I was waiting to find out what's so special that I should be sent here after a busy day fighting off the rouges of this countryside."

She then proceeds to go outside while saying, "I need some fresh air, this place is stifling". If she is stopped by anyone she will use her intimidation to make sure they back off.

Jeaal curses himself for not thinking to bring at least a suitable belt knife, then creeps back to Anntreen and Ferrin.

"I couldn't cross the gap." He says quietly, "Anything new happen here?"

Anntreen shakes her head back and forth slowly a resounding no.
She just hopes that if something horrible happen they will be able to tell and find a way at that time to make it over the gap.

INSIDE THE TENT

Krusten tries to get through the curtain that serves as door for Captain Tomlin's private quarters: before she can realize it, she finds two swords pointed at her throat. The guards block the way out, ready to resort to force rather than allow her outside. Krusten's menacing attitude seems to have no other effect than making the guards more resolute.
"Tomas the Missionary and Carnosus the Ranger", says the captain standing on his feet, "If you stumbled on this place by pure chance, then I will ask you to drop those badges, turn your back and return from where you came from". He glances at Berghost, that approaches Ja'laron to retrieve the first badge. The two guards lower their swords and one of them opens his left hand in front of Krusten, ready to receive the second badge. Mina hears again somebody moving behind the heavy curtain.

IN THE WOODS

A fire is now burning in the commoner's camp. The sound of the many conversations covers any noise that could be coming from the big military tent where you last saw your companions. The fugitive workers are now sitting on the ground, back against back, their hands tied with a strong rope. One of the commoners is still taking care of the two wounded, making improvised bandages after having washed their wounds.
Another one is cooking: a hare, you guess, even if is not so clear from your position. The rest keep moving around, glancing from time to time to the large tent where the meeting is taking place.
