In Character: Krusten now very furious about her treatment pretends to agree but instead sticks her spear into the hand of the guard and then will try to bolster the other to one side so she can get outside.
The smell of the cooking hare reaches Ferrin's nostrils and he cannot help but salivate. He gingerly opens his pack and fishes out a bit of ration to snack on while they wait for something to happen.
After Mina hears sounds again, now closer to its location. She ponders if she should peek in through the curtain, or not. Curious, she cannot help but to try to see beyond.
So, allowing Krustens tiff with the guards be her distraction she slowly attempts to peel the curtain back a bit as to look into the next room.
Out of Character: I'm assuming Kursten doesn't use to pointy end, that would be bad
In Character: Tomas turns around and says, "It's not worth it, Kursten. To what end would you defy the Captain?"
"Sir, I apologise for her brash behaviour. I ask, where shall we stay the night? The boars are dangerous and are not the only danger here. We've fought packs of wild dogs around here. Could you accommodate a few extra hands to help around as well? Our meager savings should be enough if you want pay as well."
Out of Character: Krusten: For you to perform that kind of action, I need Initiative and Combat rolls specifying if you want to deal lethal or non-lethal damage (like iCon said, the pointy edge or the handle).
Out of Character: I'm tempted to go with lethal but for the sake of the holy man that might throw a fit I will go non-lethal. I also have combat reflexes so I should be able to take out both guards.
Initiative: 13+4=17
D20: 19+1 = 20,
Other D20 if needed: 20, 2
D6: 4,3,5
If she is in turn attacked lethally she will switch to lethal blows.
Still with the distraction, Mina continues to slowly move part of the curtain to have a look at who or what is in the next room.
IN THE TENT
Ja'laron quietly surrenders his badge to Berghost that pockets it with a grin. Reassured by what he judges to be an easy task, the guard steps forward putting his open hand right in front of Krusten. He is caught unprepared: the she-warrior pretends for a moment to be ready to hand her badge as well but then, with a quick movement, she hits the palm of the guard's hand with the handle of her spear, causing him to scream in pain and step back. The second guard quickly draws his weapon and throws himself against Krusten but, once again, the girl is quicker and pushes him off with her shoulder sending him to the ground. While Tomas tries to calm his companions, Mina exploits the general confusion to move the heavy curtain and see what is causing the noises she keeps hearing. The druid finds herself face to face to two other soldiers that, swords drawn, are rushing into the room.
"STOP!", shouts Captain Tomlin, his voice similar to a roaring thunder. "Drop your weapons and raise your hands! I will not give you a second chance!".
Out of Character: If you decide to surrender, no need, otherwise everybody except Krusten should submit Initiative and Combat rolls.
IN THE WOODS
Suddenly you see the commoners stop and turn in the direction of the trenched area. The noise of the many conversations and of the activities at the camp covered any sound coming from the military tent, but now all of you can clearly hear somebody shouting. "STOP!" Is the only word that you can clearly make out but you hear orders being given in a brisk way. Something is definitely happening but you still don't understand what and, most of all, how the commoners reacted to it.
