Carnosus saw antreen walk by, she seemed sad. He slowly followed her outside and frowned when he heard her speak so sadly. He sighed. "Antreen please pardon the intrusion and my eavesdropping, but you did all you could, please do me a favor and don't let yourself become depressed. Trust me I know what it's like and it's hard to come back after. No matter what the end result, you did good work this day, and I personally owe you my life for healing me, thank you"
Anntreen answers. "Carnosus you owe me nothing." She makes a fake half smile attempting to put her friends mind at rest. "And, do not worry for my feelings or mind. I am well. I am just sad that in order to right the blood shed of the past, we where forced to take even more. Knowing battle is not equivalent to seeking it, remember this and consider no debit between us."
Carnosus closes his eyes and shakes his head, he is no fool, he can tell antreen is just faking. "Antreen, if I learned anything from the clan that took me in as a young boy, it's that a debt should never go unpaid unless it is owed to you. My honor as ranger of Mazonssurr would not let me go without repaying you. And, telling me not to care is about as effective as asking a zombie to recite poetry, it's pointless. If I stop caring I stop being myself. Pure and simple, I owe you my life, I will not stop caring about your feelings, and zombies are bad at poetry." He chuckled at this last bit, trying to coax a genuine smile out of Antreen
Anntreen simply nods, there is no smile but he can see there is less sadness in her eyes.
Anntreen looks around taking note of the layout of the tents and the party as well the surrendered opposition. She will wait for Thomas's words. But, she intends to go talk to the common folk and fetch her bag from where it is hidden before any part of the group moves out.
Her mind wanders a bit as they stand there talking, shes is thinking perhaps she can use mending when they rest in town after getting every one there and so forth to fix her broken vile in her bag, and sort out what all she needs and perhaps offload some items or something of the like.
Carnosus patted her on the back gently and smiled. "Just relax, if you ever need anything, anything at all, I'm always here. So...yeah...anyway, if anyone needs me I am going to look around this place ok?" He smiled once more and started walking slowly around the camp, looking for anything he could, just to occupy his time.
Out of Character:: he is using spot and search to find literally anything. Basically stuff from items to secret trap doors and anything in between
OUTSIDE
Anntreen and Carnosus have a look around. The commoners are sitting, their hands still up, watched closely by Ferrin. One of them is still unconscious. Captain Tomlin sits on the ground, keeping a certain distance from the thugs. "I need some rest", he answers to Tomas, "I will tell you everything I know after catching my breath".
Tomas heads to the makeshift tent. Is nothing more than a bunch of poles sustaining a patchwork cover. The side that faces in the direction of the party is open. From outside, Tomas can see six bedrolls orderly layed on the ground in two rows of three, one in front of the other. Next to each bedroll there is a closed military backpack. Nobody is inside.
On the other side of the trench everything is silent. The rest of the thugs fled in the woods leaving all their possessions behind. A dead guard lays next to where Anntreen is.
IN THE TENT
Mina sets guard on the unconscious guard, now securely tied up, checking at the same time Ja'laron's conditions. The rogue looks ok.
Krusten takes a look at the room and notices that the only interesting objects inside are a large trunk and a tiny chest.
The entry room was empty, apart from the table. Nobody knows yet what is inside the third room.
Mina watching Krusten's greed grow, decides to go back to where she had found the tiny chest and scoops it up.
She looks over to the other woman and says, "Mind watching over Ja'Laron and the prisoner a moment? There is still somewhere we haven't checked." She leaves to check the third room before an answer is given, quarterstaff in hand.
(Out of Character: Search, Spot, and Listen for the third room)
Out of Character: Stefflabunny: do you want to do that from inside or from outside the third room? It is closed by a heavy curtain, just like the one you were in.
