Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 A Crone, A Marquis & Missing Medallion RPG - Page 181

Anntreen looks for a spade and explores the two areas of the camp that are not visible from the front. Behind the military tent she finds three hand-carts: one is empty and two are loaded with raw carded wool. A barrel full of tools is between the carts. The cleric checks its content and realizes that inside the barrel there are spades, as well as hammers, picks and other tools, but only the heads. None of the tools have a handle. Continuing her search, she takes a look behind the makeshift tent. A row of three barrels is there, the first one containing dry rations and the other two fresh water. On the floor, some spades and handsaws. She picks one and starts digging a hole.

Carnosus and Tomas explore the makeshift tent. Including the content of the six backpacks, they find the following:
6 Backpacks (2lb), 6 Bedrolls (5lb), 6 Winter Blankets (3lb), 6 Waterskins (4lb full), 6 Whetstones (1lb), 6 Flint&Steel, 6 Pieces of Soap (1lb), 6 Sewing Needles, an Iron Pot (10lb), 2 Belt Pouches (0,5lb), 10 Candles (0,5lb all together), 12 Torches (1lb), 3 Hempen Ropes (50ft, 10lb), 3 Grappling Hooks (4lb), 2 Bags of Caltrops (2lb), 40 arrows (3lb each 20 of them) as well as 5 gold pieces, 10 silver pieces and 18 copper pieces. After examining the items, and taking what he needs, Tomas gets himself a spade and helps Anntreen digging.

Krusten and Mina rush for the tiny chest, like two teenagers playing "Take the flag". The chest jumps from one hand to the other until it falls on the ground. Krusten tries to pry it open but the tip of her spear breaks up (it has now a -2 modifier to damage). While the two girls fight for its possession, Ja'laron silently scoops the chest and goes outside.
Mina approaches the third room. Having the feeling that the area is now safe, she gets inside and explores the small portion of the tent. There's a bedroll on the ground with a heavy blanket on it. A waterskin is hanged to the tent wall and a large trunk sits in one corner.

Carnosus takes the candles, 2 flint and steel, the bags of caltrops, and the money. He looks at the remainder of stuff and put it in neat rows. "I got what I need, I just hope the others can use this stuff..."

"Come now," Says Tomas. "I see how much you took and we'll be splitting that evenly, along with any profits made when we get to town. The rest we can donate to the villagers and displaced bandits."

With that, he goes and digs with Anntreen, every heavy breath out a recited line from a memorised psalm.

"Anythings insides to tie ups these ones?" Ferrin calls from his position.

Out of Character: I think we should tie them all in a chain and make them pull the carts back to town with the captain at the head of it. Anyone have Use Rope to make sure the knots are done well?

"Here" Tomas replies. "It's one I cut earlier."

Out of Character: Tomas can offer an untrained +2 from [Dexterity] and taking 20 should be enough to secure it. Ideally we want someone to keep watch to see if they start squirming to take the bonds off.

Carnosus sighed. "Tomas I really hope you are not accusing me of greed. I am not like that. I only took what I thought I could personally use to help the group, I swear it on my life." He crossed his arms over his chest and looked Tomas in the eyes

Seeing the tip of her spear breaks angers Krusten, she goes and retrieves the battle axe she saw earlier if she cannot find another spear.

Out of Character: What about the trunk?

Out of Character: Retconning a little bit but this all happens before he goes outside.

"I hardly know you, but hearing that answer has made me glad," Tomas says in a flat tone. "So many new faces, many different personalitites."
