In my first week of traveling, I went into three separate pubs and inns to get a bite to eat, I didn't touch a drop of alcohol and yet I still ended up in a bar brawl every time. I just have bad luck around those kinds of places I guess. So Jeaal going might be the best idea. Just don't get into any trouble friend, we rangers have a reputation to uphold." He cracked his neck as he spoke

Tomas listens in silence to the captain's story and is torn about what to say for a good minute. He nods as Anntreen speaks and finally says, "Two crimes for the penalty of one I believe. You are clearly an honest man and I'll convince the town that desertion is not their juristiction."
Tomas' shield goes up in defense, as usual, when he sees the light ahead. He agrees with Anntreen's plan, "Felnuus' work never stops and his master craftsman does his bidding. I will be able to bathe before praying and in the meantime talk with Mr Goatshearer. Alone!" He looks around at the party, then softens. "Or maybe I'm being too hasty. I may need someone to help me, miss Anntreen, if you will?"

Krusten was never one for long dramatic stories. Having a rather harsh upbringing she does not pity big men crying over the past. She collects the information like if she was hearing about the price of vegetables in the market. She then as usual keeps her watch waiting off on the sides looking at the group do their things while she is watching for something significant to happen between all the chatter.

"If I am who you wish to join you for words with him then you will have me at your side for the talks." She smiles and keeps pulling the carts as they get nearer to the light and the closing distance.

Carnosus frowned. "I am honor bound to stay close to you Anntreen. So I must join you on this. Don't worry though, I won't say a word unless spoken to, you have my word on my honor. I won't cause any trouble, if anything I will learn more about what is going on, I have [kind of] been in the dark when it comes to details you know?" He sighed

As they walk pulling the carts with them Anntreen chats with Carnosus.
"I will need you to stay with the carts. Really this is very important a role. We will already be spread a bit thin as it is and I would like it if there was someone I trust to stay as watch over the men and carts outside the gate while we go in to talk." She smiles.

Carnosus gets a pained look on his face, his first instinct is to stay with Anntreen, but he doesn't want to refuse a request from her either, he groans a bit and sighs. "Fine, only because its you telling me to though, but promise that if trouble starts you will either call for me as loud as you can or you get both yourself and Tomas out of there, I wouldn't be able to live with myself knowing that I couldn't protect you when I have sworn to do so. Promise me ok?" He looked her dead in the eyes, his own showed a pleading sternness, he wanted her word and would not feel at ease till then.
