Mina shrugs and tells Butch, "I don't have a plan at the moment, but I see my friends are awake. Perhaps they'll have some insight."

Mina turns as if to go to them, then turns around and asks Butch, "What makes the Marquis strange to you?"

AT THE RANCH

Tomas, Ferrin and MaryJaen start their small journey back to the grove to recover the bodies of the commoners that fell victim to the wild boars. Pulling the empty carts is an easy task and they quickly get on the road that brings from the Ranch to the tracks they have followed two days before when still trying to locate the bandits hideout. There, in the distance, a familiar figure is sitting surrounded by a small group of children. Is Carnosus Darnok. You can easily see that he got an enthusiastic audience: the children answer with screams of joy and excitement to every move and small tale that the Ranger offers them. You wonder if he realized that you are ready to get to work.

Meanwhile....
"What are you talking about..", starts asking Abigail in reply to Krusten's words. But she stops abruptly, staring at something between the foliage. "Shhhhh", she orders bringing a finger to her nose. The girl crouches and starts moving slowly waving to Krusten to follow her. She proceeds some way into the vegetation then she stops and bends on something she found on the ground.

AT THE INN

Jeaal and Ja'laron seem confused. Maybe they didn't rest as long as they wanted or needed or they are just having problems to catch up with the latest events. Jeaal in particular, follows with his eyes Mina coming down from the stairs dressed in a different way and accompanied by nobody else than the hated mercenary she threatened to kill the night before. Shaking his head, he gets back to his meal.
While Ceza rests his eyes for a moment, Mina keeps analyzing the situation with the innkeeper. "I don't know how to explain it exactly. Is just a feeling. He doesn't talk much, not even to give orders to his servants. Never comes out of the room, not even for making some water outside. Or maybe he does it but I never saw him. Or his servants for all that matters". Butch looks confused. Is like if all his suspects look to him less logical or real now that he expresses them to someone else. He looks embarrassed.

MariJaen, nods and smiles at Carnosus in a greeting. This is a companion she had not yet met. Not wanting to disturb Tomas's and the new man's conversation, she keeps quiet.
