Corsava Introduction

Hi. I've joined this forum mainly to participate in the Future Earth RPG. This is my first time really participating in an online forum and also a text-based RPG, so I hope I can settle into this community.

I come from a rather eclectic background -- I like to call myself a Canadian Chinese-American. I was born in Canada, raised in a Chinese family in China, and educated in an American school there. Since this is an international forum I wish to share my unique experiences with you guys on future posts.

We are glad that you have taken the time to register. To become an RPGer here is very simple:

1. Post 30 Constructive messages anywhere in the Community thus proving you are capable of good Play by Post participation.The easiest way to do this is to Post in Topics that interest you.

2. After making 30 Posts request RPG status here, your Introduction Thread. Make sure your activity level is 75% or above. The activity level is to ensure that you are not one of those types that joins and then expect to play after days or weeks on inactivity.

3. Create your Future Earth character.

May I ask a question? I just skimmed through the Future Earth Rules and Explanations, and I came across the section "Just Leaving a Game". That had me wondering, is this RPG in real time? I live halfway across the world from North America, which is where I assume most of you are from, and staying up late in the night isn't an option for a student like me. Can I still play Future Earth even though I live in China?

You have nothing to worry about dude. We're all in different time zones and post when we can so long as you post your character's actions once a day you should be good but make sure your activity level does not fall below 75%.

It's nice to meet you! Life in China is pretty good. I live in Shanghai, which is a huge city of 23 million people. I suppose things change when you enter the countryside, but life in Shanghai is very urban, clean, and fairly Westernized. One drawback is that there isn't a lot of greenery and there isn't any nature areas out of the city either. When I go to college I would go somewhere that is more prettier.
