A Knight's Tale

One of the common folk takes it upon himself to become a knight by forging his ancestry to show nobility. Well done, but I did not care for the quirks. What quirks you say? Well the music for one. I could not understand if they were trying to make it a comedy or drama or romance or a mixture of all three.

I have to disagree with you on this one JB. I liked the movie a lot! I didn't think the plot was very original, or that the acting was stupendous. But for pure entertainment value, I liked it. My wife liked the romance part of the movie, and I like the action. If you like medieval movies, this one is a renter. I'm glad I saw it, and also glad I waited till video.

I really enjoyed the movie. I don't care if a movie doesn't fit a particular genre, especially if it is fun, entertaining, and interesting. It doesn't matter if the plot is predictable, either.

I liked the way they integrated the modern music. For example, in the beginning, where Queen's We Will Rock You, with modern things such as the girl dancing to the music, and the peasants doing The Wave throughout the stands. Obviously, these are all modern things, but you could almost imagine that people at a joust would do them, if they had known about them. So, the idea is that the joust was as popular to the people in medieval times as a football game is to us (either American football or soccer - take your pick).

So, all in all, this is a movie that we watch every now and then. The music was good, so my son has the soundtrack.

I also really liked this movie and the music. I love a movie that kind of teaches a good principle, in this movie I thought it was to not run away from your problems, but face them. As previously said, it was entertaining. As far as to whether they were trying to make it a comedy or drama or romance or a mixture of all three, that's one thing I really enjoy about a movie is that it has more than one genre to it. Then there's likely to be something in it for a lot more people. I'm sure the people in hollywood think that they are geniuses for coming up with such a concept; more people like it and see it, more $

I loved the movie. I thought the music did make add to the humor of it all. I loved the soundtrack so much that I went out bought it after I saw the movie in the theater. I thought it had a lot of appeal to people who were into different genres. It had the action, the romance, the comedy.
