I wonder how effective they (this list of foods) will be if the person still eats a high fat / highly processed foods? I believe all foods aid in helping fight against diseases, but most times it is a trojan horse we are fighting, a horse we eat each day.
Foods in their natural state are much more healthful than processed foods. So, if these foods are incorporated into a "regular" diet, that "regular" diet would have to be relatively healthful to begin with. If you make it a can of processed green beans, it's not going to do you as good as the fresh beans cooked yourself -- or better yet, "snapped" into a fresh green salad. Ditto a cup of yogurt that is full of food dyes and sugar -- find natural yogurt and add your own fresh or stewed fruit.
As you said, JB, it seems all foods are good for you -- it's just a matter of how and how much you eat.
