Sorry to read that, divorce is never a nice thing and when children are involved it really complicates things. How old is your nephew? She says that is what he wants, so then what you're saying is he doesn't want that?

Sorry to hear these news, Steff. Divorce is never desirable but sometimes is the only solution. For what I remember, this was not the first time that your brother's wife disappeared all in a sudden. Rather than bringing on at all cost a stressful situation, better separate, possibly, in a civil way. Your nephew would also benefit from it on the long term because having continuous tensions at home between the parents doesn't have a positive effect on a child.
But, as you said, that's up to your brother and his wife. The only thing you can do is staying next to them and help as you can.

Ah, just got back from my brothers.

Krusten: No, my brother never wanted to divorce her. She thinks this because she has developed many problems, Paranoia being one. About 3 years ago she had started a depression medication that had a possible side effect of seizures. About 2 years ago, she started having seizures, and had been diagnosed with Epilepsy. During these years her personality has changed drastically, from a vibrant, take no prisoners, know what she wanted in life kind of person to a self-centered, egotistical, almost bi-polar, paranoid, depressive user(as in she uses people). Through all this her family and my brothers has stood by her to help and support her, even despite the way she treats everyone.

For some time, starting about 10 months ago, she began to get better. She finally dropped the depression medication, stopped smoking, stopped needing half her seizure medication, and had lessened her seizures. Everyone had though she pulled through, she seemed better.

Now this. My brother still doesn't know what he'll do. The people at his church of course say keep her and the marriage, but they also turn around and tell him it might be best they do separate.

My nephew is still in the dark about it really, though being with him today, I can see he knows something is different.

Hopefully, it'll work out, to whatever end it becomes.

[By The Way], Brunconero & Kittenpunk, I'll be gone June 9-11. It's my brothers birthday June 7th and I'm taking my dad, brother and nephew camping for his present.

Drugs can have mind altering effects on you. She may need to see a psychiatrist to be sure and perhaps both can get a marriage counselor. I hope it all works out for the best in the end.

I'm completely against the use of mind affecting drugs, unless it becomes a matter of life and death. In some countries around the world, doctors prescribe poisonous chemicals like if they were paracetamol. Proof is that, after giving some initial relief, they end up creating more problems than the ones they solve.

I wish you guys a good time on next weekend: that will be great because all of you will have the chance to refresh yourself surrounded by nature.

Back from Camping with Brother, Nephew, and Father:

Camping Trip for brothers Birthday was great. He got to relax from life a little. My Nephew Jackson was present rarely unless for a rousing game of "Go Fish" Or a massive amount of farm fresh Pescadero Peas due to the campers near us having two boys his age to go play with instead of his Daddy, Aunt(me of course), and his Grandpa. Dad(Grandpa) had a hard time sleeping the first night due to his medical problems, but had a much better rest the next night. Tim(Brother) and I took Jackson for a 3 hour hike through a creekside trail to the old kiddie swimming hole his daddy and I used to swim in, then to the other "Older kids" Swimming site still used. All in all, a pretty good trip. I am home now, and I need to go back for more Peas already!

Got back yesterday evening, but was so spent that I didn't get to respond at all last night here.
