Scientology is such a big time cult I don't know how people can believe in that stuff and its more surprising that many of them who should know better do not like Tom Cruise.

Sometimes, the need to 'belong' is so strong with people, that they will forget to use their common sense and intelligence and fall for a smooth line of patter, like in Scientology. All the levels of secrets and ceremonies, and the cult-like demands of it's leaders, should lead any reasonable person to the fact that it's nothing but a money-making scam for it's owners. It is not a religion.
