Israel isn't the bogeyman that the news and especially Al Jazeera makes them out to be. Of course, this time they are helping a group that would be less rabidly anti-Israel than the current regime, especially with all the Iranian assistance the current regime has received. It's a little known fact but when Syria and Jordan had a short intense conflict due to Jordan attacking the PLO, which was trying to take over Jordan, Israel made it clear that they would use the Israeli air force to crush the Syrian air force if they used it in the conflict. This left the Jordanian air force free and helped them stop the Syrians and crush the PLO. So yes, even some Arabs aren't very happy with the Palestinians.

Every attack Israel has ever done has been in retaliation for weapons attacks on their country. They’ve never invaded, never initiated unjustly and never hesitated to respond when another country takes a potshot at them. When they were created by the League of Nations/ UN, the Arab world immediately declared war, threatening to wipe them out and water the ground with the blood of all the Jews. Since then, they’ve had to maintain a no-nonsense stance against their neighbours, and keep a war footing. What a tarrible position to have to be in, when all the countries surrounding them STILL continuously state that they will wipe out the Jews and destroy Israel, instead of working with what is truly the better civilized, better technology and better society that Israel has become. The Arab world needs to give its head a long, hard shake.
