Alexander Ver Strechliffe was born to a poor family, farmers and craftsmen. His entire family, except for his child brother, was slain in a bandit raid when he was fourteen years of age. He took his brother to safety, and joined a local militia, hoping to earn enough money to support himself and his younger sibling. Alexander was immediately recognized fo his skill with a sword, earning respect from teachers and envy from peers. An extended campaign in foreign lands saw him promoted to an officer, despite his rural upbringing. At the age of 21,he returned to find that his brother had been killed by a rival officer. In a fit of rage, he slew the offending officer and fled the city. It has been an entire year since his flight from the city...

Greetings Oinodaemon

I'm giving your character sheet a through look over but so far I do have a couple of questions.

You put "Representing Dylan" if you were referring to a religion this game is using a costume set of gods listed in the game's world setting thread.

So I'm not letting any of my players come in with a stat over a 17.
If you do not mind can you change your Dexterity 18 (+4) in to a 17 and you may move that point on to one of your 12s if you wish making one of them in to a 13.

Yes, you won't need the chain shirt, the "Why?" behind why items are not needed for the start of the campaign is basically you have been arrested for something you did not do and all of your items taken by the guards. Because of this I need to know what you would where clothing wise on a normal day. What your preferred weapon of choice would be. If you have any hidden items on you, of any kind I need to know what type and the placement of them and how well they are hidden.

And, in order to get to know you better as a player I want to hear a wish list of magic items (3) that I can get a feel for you from.

You may wish to replace your Dodge feat with Dexterous Dodge an outside content feat I am excepting in the game it works as Dodge would you just also get a +1 to your AC.

No you won't be starting with a shield.

Back story:
There's is a rather instinctive word setting for this game we are at the end of 100 years of peace from the end of the last war a war that ended all wars and lasted 100 years. In peace armies have broken down to guards and security for trade routes from monsters and bandits the known kingdoms of the land hold mostly peaceful treaties with one another. Some kingdoms have trade agreements others have closed borders but clearly drawn peace accords.

The family stuff and the bandits from your back story work fine but I need to know why you have come to pass through or live in the capital city of the kingdom of Danica the city of florana. Because this is the city in [which] your fate will change forever.

The only foreign lands in my game are classified as nearly (if not completely) impossible to reach and has yet to be mapped or explored. This is the frosted north, the deep south the volcanic island to the south east and anything past the untamed seas.

I love the aspect of loathing for the organized governments military or at least some one of high power in it, but I think you will have a better grasp on the world if you take the time to read over the setting while working on your next draft. I am still looking over your skill point allotment and spread. I will try to get back to you about them soon. In the mean time making the minor changes after taking a look at the custom world gods and history might inspire you to want to elaborate and tweak your back story a bit.

There is also a link to the world map for this game on the settings thread as well as kingdom banners and god symbols listed there. All well worth looking at, if you have not already.

Trust me when I say it is well worth the read as this game is mostly puzzles clues traps and some light combat. So the world knowledge I threw out there that everyone knows will be more for you then a backpack and a shield ever could.

Representing Dylan was a mistake, The character generator asked me for "Player Name", and I was half asleep. No problems with the changes.
Reposting from a different generator, I'm not too sure about 3.5 rules, but I'm pretty sure it gave me too many skill points. Plus it posted really sloppily. Again, sorry, was half asleep.

Hm...a wish list...Rod of Spell Trap? Sword of Dispel Magic...and something that will let me track/exterminate/or create Red Mist.

Some Specifics: Alexander typically wears tight breeches and a front lace shirt. His cloak is red, and he usually carries a longsword


If Alexander HAD to choose ONE God to worship, rather than my previous assertment, then he would worship De Bar Ren.

Changes to bio- Alexander hails from the Crystal Crest Kingdom. Not sure yet how to work in the other stuff. Perhaps he worked as a bandit hunter or a town watchmen, rather than an actual military position? Also, I believe his reason for being in Danica is fear of pursuit for having slain an evil person of high power. The man who killed his brother. I don't know, I'm keeping this loose on purpose,and I have no problem changing details. But yea, he's in the city trying to find a fresh start after killing someone he maybe shouldn't have.

I just feel I should mention; I've been Dungeon Mastering for over ten years now, and this will only be my third time playing as a PC. So basically, I'm a beginner, but not. I feel like a beginner, as this is a brand new experience for me. But on the other hand, Dungeons & Dragons is as familiar as my arm or my leg. I REALLY like your setting and attention to detail. I'm going to have to read your rules section a ridiculous amount of times just to memorize all the territories and deities.

Anyways, let me know if there are any problems with my character, and I'll gladly correct them.

This is fine its considered blasphemes and many have wandered why the gods have not just struck you dead for this yet. Alexander keeps a small throwing knife in his boot.

His mother used tales of high level undead, particularly Liches and Mummies, to keep him from wandering too far as a child. He assumes they were just fairy tales, as he has never encountered any undead in his life, but he IS still afraid of them, deep down.

Extra languages...I suppose he speaks Dwarvish and Gnomish as well as common.
