Thank you.

Sorry for the delay in getting your introduction post up, I am working on ti as we speak.
Also the image you picked is fine another player was using it but he was one of the players the had to leave game for school work or other so that image is available to you to use.

Small note to my players, I will be offline for about 12 hours. So, expect delays in my responses, you are normally not accustomed to. I try as always to have a timely response but I have events I must be at today that will not land me near a computer at all.

Dear Felipe,
The skill heal will not give you HP back that you have lost. It will allow you to take actions to stop from losing more. To regain health point you have to be healed by a spell potion sleeping or other magical means each type differs changes on how much you heal such as to sleep you regain 1 HP a night.

This means you can do things like:
"Fist Aid" where you stabilize a dieing character.
"Treat Wound" where you can remove caltrops from peoples feet so they stop taking damage each turn when they move, and have to move at half speed.
"Treat Poison" To treat poison means to tend a single character who has been poisoned and who is going to take more damage from the poison (or suffer some other effect). Every time the poisoned character makes a saving throw against the poison, you make a Heal check. The poisoned character uses your check result or his or her saving throw, whichever is higher. The rolls are compared to the saving through of the poison [which] changes based on what kind it is and is information only the Dungeon Master knows.

There is a fairly long and long page about all the cool things you can do with the skill heal. I suggest you read it over if you wish to do things with it. But, as for using it to heal yourself, no that is not how it works.

If you have the Heal skill you can care for a person who is injured so that they with full rest gain hit points back a lot faster. While 8 hours of sleep give you 1 hit point if your being cared for by some one using the heal skill you can gain back 2 hit points. Just something to thing about too.

The things I listed above all have difficulty check of 30 or less. As for the more complicated things the skill Heal can do.

Quicken Recovery
You can allow a character to regain hit points in a single hour as if you had provided long-term care for a full day (2 or 3 hit points per level, based on activity). You can quicken the recovery of up to six patients at a time. No character's recovery can be quickened more than once per day (even by different healers).

Perfect Recovery
You can allow a character to regain hit points in a single hour as if you had provided long-term care for a full week (2 or 3 hit points per level per day, based on activity). You can use perfect recovery on up to six patients at a time. No character's recovery can be perfected more than once per day, nor can perfect recovery and quicken recovery both be used on the same patient in the same day (even by different healers).

Quicken recovery difficulty check of 50 according to the 3.5 book
Perfect recovery difficulty check of 100 acording to the 3.5 book

Sorry but a D20 + this groups ranks, yea... No.

Just so you know for your knowledge Kittenpunk is that I have all the 3.5 Dungeons & Dragons books in a PDF file on my computer. I am a Dungeon master myself and I do run characters from time to time. I have only had all the books for a little over a year so I am still looking over all of them to find answers out myself so if you have a question that you want anothers insight on do not be afraid to ask. I have been playing Dungeons & Dragons since 1981. smile.gif
