Not knowing what they are up against Yaeth will swim over to the closest rock or shore where he can get out of the water. Once he is out of the water he will look about to see if there is anything in the chamber with them besides them and what ever is under the water. He will also look to see if he can see anyone who is not at the surface under the water.
Yaeth swims over to the closest rocky shoreline.
It is steep and hard to get up on to out of the water as he climes onto it he feels that the shore is made of a dense clay like mud and has hard objects imbedded in to it. As he pulls himself onto it he realized its chunks of crushed bones clearly seeing a mangled part of a skull half buried int he clay like mud.
Once out of the water he looks about the room seams empty but he can get a better look at the room from this level. It a pears that the round stone in the center of the lake is held up by some sort of pillar under the water. The walls are slick stone. The large crystal shard 30 feet above just below the ceiling of the chamber is huge and must stand the height of 2 men and the with of a small wagon a cross. It is hung centered over the round stone in the pool.
The water is choppy you can make out shapes under the water but your who is who or exactly where. Most prevalently you can see a large mass of shadow directly under the party stretching 15 feet wide in appearance from the distortion of the water.

For everyone: flavor text
"Wahoooooo!"
"Oh bother, it's that bird brain again."
"What can we help you with?"
"Founds one, found another shiny ones, I did. Fixed it this time, made it better. Used his old mold but changes it, blue is blue, I knows it."
"Did you understand a word of that?"
"Not a word."
"I think he is trying to say he made a new candle."
"Yeps is yeps. A nice one, short one, cute too. Made it with tricks and sillinesses. Made it for keys and traps. It's shiny. Wants to light it. Can I? Can I please!."
" Your last candle broke in half while burning most brightly. Do you really want to light another one so soon?."
"Oh come now! Let him light it. It can't do any harm. The path is long and they will need all the help they can get. After all, we only need them to make it to his bed and wake the fool. We don't need them to get out afterwards."
"Do you plan to abandon them if they succeed?"
"It's not abandonment if none of them are my candles."
"This is a joint effort. I can't believe you would be so selfish and uncaring. You are a fool, and a child if you think the old one would not have something to say for such actions."
"Can I lights it yets? Please, I is waitings, me swears this one is goods. I knows it will be betters."
"Fine, fine let me see it. Hummm, what did you say this one was called?"
"Its name be shiny long, too. Bit of a twister for me beak."
"That's fine, all I need to know is its name so I can set it in with the others."
"So, what is its name?"
"Holly Thistlewood Longbottom, it bees!"
For HunnyBunny:
After quite a day of purse cutting and making a good amount of coin, Holly headed over to the tavern she had booked a room in for the night. Her plan was simple: eat, drink, sleep, and pinch a coin bag or two more before calling it a successful day.
In the tavern, as she drank and ate, she heard locals talk of missing people and of the prince's new extreme and harsh enforcement of the laws. All the talk about laws and punishment churned her stomach, or perhaps, it was the food. All be it, the soup was hot, so what did she care. Moreover, with the amount of coin she had acquired that day, the meal might as well of been free.
That night she dreamed of silly things of her God and his blue wings. It was a peaceful night and the dreams memory had faded from her mind shortly past the dawning of a new day.
Packing up her items from the room, she wanted to move locations. This was a tactic that served her well. Even if staying in a city more than one night, never sleep in the same Inn two nights in a row. Why you ask, because then they might notice the silverware missing or have time to call the guards.
The date is April 28, year 199. It is nine in the morning and the marketplace is as busy as can be. Apples here, a coin pouch there, a small ruby, hell, even the belt of a guard nearby. Her hands were fast and her luck was in full this day. It was turning out to be the best day she's had in a while. Still, oddly she felt unhappy. Something was amiss for her. That dream was on her mind as fuzzy and as distant as it was, three words kept ringing in her head. "Follow the Books."
"What freaking books!?!" She mumbles heatedly under her breath.
Swiping another apple from the fruit stand as she walks down the street toward the square, she becomes thirsty and the fountain of healing was just as fine for drinking on a spring day as anything.
Just before getting a chance to wet her lips, she saw a man standing with his back turned talking to two other tall fellows. His coin bag just hanging out and on the back of his hip and looking oh so heavy. However could she pass this tempting mark up! Sneaky sneaky, *snip*, and turning to make her escape, SNATCH! She was grabbed, his large hand firming around her small wrist, a upward pull and the finely dressed muscular man had lifted the small woman up off the ground by one arm. A jolting pain struck through her as her shoulder pops, and her grip on the coin bag goes limp.
The two men that were with the man, quickly restrain poor Holly, and as the man retrieves his bag from the ground, you recognize the mark on his chest front to be that of a royal guard captain. It would appear your luck had just run its course.
A mere moment later she finds herself sitting in a cell, her items taken, weapons gone, fully searched and grumpy. They even found the bag attached to her necklace hidden between her breasts. Mean grumpy guards, and they were so rude too. They even took her wrist blade she pouts. Luckily, they did not take her cloak of pockets, a fine magic item indeed, but sadly, she had just got it and had yet to move many of her items into its many hidden places. As much fun as it was to have, what good was the 14 apples and bag of marbles going to do for her in this cell.
Well she supposes it's a good thing they missed the coins she had hidden in the heel of her fine boots.
She jumps as the sound of gears opening a door behind you begins, and a moment later a guard at the cell door in front of you drops a small sack bag into the cell with a "good luck" spoken in pure sarcasm.
Looking out in to the blank hallways that the Back hatch of the cell opened in to you follow the hallway and proceed to a room with 3 tunnels. They all look the same. Picking one at random you tie the sack to your hip, on the belt that holds nothing but empty belt pouches.
You climb into one of the tunnels and as quickly as you do, it slopes down and you are sliding on the slick metal. You manage to prevent yourself from injury when it finally spits you out, crashing against the wall and onto a pile of something. You feel dizzy for the moment as you lay there starring up at gray stone walls. As you recover and climb to your feet you realize that which has cushioned your fall and made your bed is a pile of bones. "Bones" you think to yourself!
In a moment of shock you jump out of the room in to the dimly lit. You look around to see that the small hallway connects to 3 small rooms each full of bones and with a tunnel dumping out in them.
You walk down the hallway to a large room, reliefs and carvings line its walls and text of many tongues. The passages you can read say the following lines out of order and content.
Common:
"Take nothing from the grove"
Halfling:
"When the room is Quite, think loudly."
"Find the stairs leading up and go down."
Draconic:
"Bonds of Blood, and black chains will not brake"
"A Red eye can see the key"
Elven:
"When reflection is all you can see, use reflection to fight it."
"Rise or Fall."
Sylvan:
"Earthly ore I glow, but never can I meet the sun"
"At the start of the easy path the right answer will be down."
Searching around the room you see clearly the three locked doors but know not how to open them, you then find a note on the wall in chalk suggesting you use the water of the well in the center of the room to open the doors. "How can water open a door you" think but none the less you go to the well's side. You take this opportunity to look in the small sack you find in it a half rot apple a chunk of old bread a peace of dried meat one stick of chalk and a water skin of dirty water.
Then you notice a ring on your finger blue and engraved with a feather on it. Taking it off you look it over the inscription on the inside reads in common "I is helpful." Confused more than ever you slide the ring back on your hands and switch out the water in the skin for fresh water from the well. You then move over to the door and spill some water on it. It opens, the sound of gears and chain lifting it up and back revealing a hallways of darkness.
You know while you have no armor, your clothing, fine boots, good belt, and two belt bags are all there along with your cloak of many pockets and a ton of apples that now seem relatively useful as a food source. Oddly you are excited the risk the reward the talk of the unknown there could be a fortune down here if only you could find it and then a way out. Containing your joy you move in to the darkness of the hallway knowing there most likely will be traps a head and at the same time looking forward to the challenge of overcoming them.
You had not noticed the holy symbol of silver around your neck; it is of your god the metal treated to appear blue.
You walk forward knowing this place is likely to have traps and death at every turn.
You make your way into a small room. As you walk into it, you feel as if you are being watched and while the other side of the room is only 10 feet away, you can't help but think this is a trap. With that thought, the floor opens under your feet and you fall down into a pit. Landing unhurt, you watch in the darkness as the pit door overhead closes back up. Without a light, you feel around with your hands going over items trying to figure out what you landed on. Some parts are soft but cold other wet or moving? You catch the stench of rotten flesh and then your hand hits cold metal, sharp and sturdy; a pit of spikes so full to the top with bodies that it made for a soft landing? You crawl over the rotting flesh of the poor souls that have braced your fall until you reach a wall. Your intent was to stand and try to reach the hatch overhead but as you thumb over the wall you feel a seam, perhaps a hidden door!
You search and find a loose stone and press in. The hatch opens and you can see a dim light at the end of a crawl space. As the light enters the pit, you can see the rotted flesh of corpses beneath your knees, writhing maggots and hair stuck to the fabric of your pants.
You climb into the shaft and away from that pit. The crawlspace leads to a room and the cause of the light. A glowing archway is on one of the walls. The floor and ceiling and walls make a perfect square room.
The glowing runes of the archway tell you it is magic and the surface inside the archway is a flat blank white. On the wall next to the arch in chalk on the wall reads the words 'teleportation- unstable".
Deciding to jump in to it you are shunted magically through space it is not pleasant and felt a bit like getting a magical whiplash as you are thrown from the portal you slam in to a rock wall and are rendered unconscious. Sleeping the impact off for many hours you wake to find yourself in a dark cave passageway, a light is seen in the distance from a cave opening, peeking out in to the cave you see a cave pool a small lake of water.
When you approach the water and the large room you are captivated by the brilliant light coming from a huge diamond shaped crystal attached to the stone ceiling high overhead. You are mesmerized and nearly fail to notice the large shadow in the water, but you do and jump back in time to see a large tentacle reach out of the water and swipe at you. You flee back in to the darkness of the cave passage way and end up siting in the darkness for a couple of hours before falling asleep for the night. You are woken just now to the sound of Splashing in the nearby room as you wake you are disoriented because of yet another dream. This one was of shadows and light and of being surrounded by strangers offering help. You are still wiping the sleep from your eyes when you peek in to the large room with the pool of water and see a group of people in the water on the far side of the room. A man is clinging out of the water on to one of the rocks. But thay are far off and it is hard to make out how many there are.
From you position peeking out near the large bolder that mostly blocks the opening from the larger room in to the passage way you are concealed by the darkness.

In Character:: I pull Haru up to the surface as fast as I can.
Out of Character:: Once I do that I will go back for Matt. Can someone send me a link to a online players handbook iwth 3.5 rules please. I had it saved but can not find it anywhere. This will allow me to post my new spells for the day.
In Game:
Izumi dives to search beneath the surface, as she plunges under the water she sees Elrik headed up toward her holding Haru's limp body in his arms. She then sees a glimpse of the Limp body of Matt being pulled downward buy a hung tentacle as thick across as matt's body was wide. She has only moments to decide between surfacing and losing sight of Matt being pulled in to the deep or swimming deeper in hopes of saving him.
Elrik's head splashes out of the water followed quickly by a unconscious Haru still in Elrik's arms. He passes the boys limp body off to Proas. Proas begins to drag the boys body toward the shelf of shore Yaeth is on.
Elrik has seen some sort of monster grab Matt and was not going to leave him or Izumi down there. They needed to get the party to shore but ensuring the party did not take yet another death at this time seemed to take priority.
