"Because that would defeat the point of the test I suppose. Ha you know that s a good question. The truth of it is, there is no way out. Well not till the set path is traveled. Even I am a Prisoner down here. The forces of magic that created this place designed safe guards and redundancy's in to it. If I try to claw my way out I would not be able to do so with in a day and when I stopped to rest I would find my self back here in my bed. I signed on to this roll willfully I understand your frustration having no choice in the mater. But like I said if you manage to wake the old fool then a way out will open for all down here. Even the ones you know not to be trapped such as I." Zens words rang of Truth, bitter truth, but, truth.
Yaeth looks at Zen and simply states, "I guess I can understand the fact that we are stuck down here. I just hope that we can make it out alive. While I would have preferred a choice in this I will make the best of it."
Yeath will go back to sitting on the floor and silently wonder what their chances are in making it through all of this. He will tell the others that a suit of the elven chain would be nice.
Alexander listens with interest, gazing up at the ceiling, considering all that has been said.
"I certainly wouldn't mind some armor, at this point. Or anything, really."
He refrains from taking anything until every party member has declared what they would like to take.
"Anything good for a Claric I will take." Elrik says.
"And, anything good for a Monk or a book worm I would like." Proas says with a smile. Siting down to have tea with Holly.
Haru pulls on the fringe of the rung and the items on it slowly sink back in to the woven stitches of the run, and he rolls it up.
A large pule of cooked octopus meat sits on a peace of leather and heavy cloth he had used to hold it. Haur sets the rug up against the wall. Then moves over to take some cake and cookies form the snack blanket. Thanking holly and Zen for them.
Matt shrugs. "We all need armer give the full plate Yeath found to whom ever can use it and give the chain to who ever needs it."
Zen with out looking up from the books as he moves from the fist book to the next adds.
"There will likely be more armor to find in the Grove. Many came before you with out taking the time to read the warnings of the past. While it is true take nothing from the grove mettle armor will be a safe items to search for there just avoid cloth, wood, or just about anything that can hold spores. You will want to avoid drinking anything from there its mostly all toxic, and do not use wood from the grove to make a fire you will die in your sleep.
I would suggest avoiding anything that looks overwhelmingly inviting or welcoming. They don't like visitors and, even I don't go in to the Grove if I can avoid it. Your best shot will be to travel from one waterfall to the other in as much of a strait line as you can- shortest path. The waterfalls make for good land marks and are the only non lethal sources of water in the grove but I would not suggest relaying on that fact. If you find your self in the "Garden" I suggest going a round that part of the grove even if that is where most of the armor will be found from the pore lot that came before.
The Exit souled be near the other waterfall I Believe as well but not the same as the entrance. Do not for any resin sleep in the grove more then one night even if this means pressing the limits of your ability to move forward. The grove is a little more then 2 days walk across and many more so if you get lost. But the poison of the grove will take root in your body's after you have been exposed to it for 48 hours.
The entrance to the grove is an hours walk down the pathway and as it is already lunch time your group would be wise to make camp ether as my guests for the night and set off after a full rest. Or to make camp at the end of the Pathway before passing in to the grove even to peek. There souled be a well in the passageway or something of the like after you get past the grove its waters would hold the same healing as the one in the start of the Trial. It will kill off the Toxin of the grove as long as it has not taken root."
"No. I Mean the grove has a... How to explain this. It has a way of bewitching you of making you feel at home, enticing you in only to walk blindly in to a trap and remain a part of the woods forever in a sleep of death till you are no more. Its different for everyone. You souled also never split up in there its easier to fall for what lurks in its woods if you are alone so I suggest traveling as a group and attempting nothing in a party of less then 2."
Zens advice was even in tone other then for a moment with the mention of home. A sweet longing tone had filed his voice like a craving of return and deep heated longing.
Holly looks over at Zen, then Alexander, "I guess I'll stick with you Alexander. I could be your eyes and ears while you can beat up anything that might decide to be a bit too friendly with me." Holly smirks, "I'm good at spotting trouble, and I think we all should be in a group together but the best eyes and ears should be paired with those that aren't." She smiles, "Alexander, would you like some cake? Come on, it's pretty tasty. I think we should stay the night here, although how do we know day from night in the dungeons?"
