"Well child I can tell the time even in the deepest pits of the world. I suppose for you lot it is much harder. You have a hour glass now but not a way to know what hour it is. hmm I will have to think if I have anything that can help with that." Zen says to the little holly as he flips another page of the book.

"Cake?" Alexander sits up, "Where in the hells did that come from? Never mind, I don't care, yeah I want cake!"

Alexander sits next to Holly and joins in the tea party.

Matt shakes his head then says. "Can you please pass the Lemon cake." Watching the enchantment on the Frilly Quilt flicker as the half a cake worth reappears to make the cake hole gain. He then takes a 3ed slice and smiles.

Izumi had busied herself with figuring out what went where while the others chatted with Zen and each other. During her assessment of the items she took a moment to walk over to Haru at his cooking table and eat a few pieces of Octopus. She looks to her son and tells him, "Pretty tasty, boy. Your dad would be proud." She then walks back to the items to finish.

A few minutes later, Izumi announces her conclusion of what goes where. "Okay, I've put all the items into piles for each of you. Alexander, I think you could utilize the Belt of Climbing, the Fox Shield, and the bag of 9 Flash Coins.
Elrik, you take the Wand of Cure Light Wounds, the Amulet of Healing, the Healers Kit, and the vials of Holy water and Antitoxin.
Felipe, you found and kept the Boots of Speed, and Amulet of Fireballs, and one of the suits of Elven Chain. If you need help about the Amulet, ask please. I don't want anyone dying on us by accidental explosions. Haru, you will take the Wand of Knock, Wand of Magic Missiles, the Charm of the Bard, and the Ring of Protection. Since you do not have any armor, that ring'll help a bit.
Holly, you'd be best with the Gloves of Kobold Thievery, the Ring of Freedom of Movement, the Thieves Tools, the various bags of Fire Sand, Caltrops, and Thunderstones. I also gave you the spellbook you wanted and the vial of Acid. I see that there's a box of Vials. I'd suggest putting the Fire Sand in them and be able to use them as a thrown item.
I will get the Charm of Casting, the Charm of Truth, the Ring of Evasion, the Amulet of Diplomacy, and the Cloak of Useful Items.
Matthias will have the Helm of Comprehend Languages and Read Magic, and the Rod of Alertness.
Praos, you will take the Amulet of Mighty Fists, the Ring of Jumping, and the Rope of Climbing.
Yaeth, aside from that Pearl of Water Breathing, you will have the Belt of Archery, the Amulet of Sight, and the Ring of Feather Fall.

I hope everyone likes the choices. There is still the +1 Longsword, the Elven Chain, and the Half Plate to take, but I leave that to those who want them to gather them. There is one other item, the Boots of Swiftness. This item is great indeed and I'd love to just take them myself, but I'd like to know who else wants them.

The other items I'd say would be party items and can go back into the Bag of Holding so we can pull them out whenever we need them. Albeit, I will be taking one of the four explorer outfits myself. If anyone wants to hold onto any of the regular items, speak now of what you want.

Yaeth will thank Izumi for the items and take them. He states that the armor we have now should go to people who can help in a fight. The half plate should go to a person who if a fighter and take the +1 long sword so they can better protect us all. Since I am a ranger and my skills come from being lightly armored I would not mind the suit of chain but if another needs it more I will wait.

I say we camp here till morning and then depart for the grove if Zen will be kind enough to wake us when morning has arrived. This will help us all reset our time down here and the hourglass can come in handy from then on.

"Felipe, if I remember this right, those boots have Haste upon them. You activate it by kicking the boots together. I've seen those before, an elder of the Rising Suns I worked with had a pair. It gave him an extra attack when he was doing only attacking in a battle. It also gave him a bit more "Push" In the attack and defense departments. Also, it boosted his speed by about double."

international QUOTE
Haste

When making a full attack action, a hasted creature may make one extra attack with any weapon he is holding. The attack is made using the creature's full base attack bonus, plus any modifiers appropriate to the situation. (This effect is not cumulative with similar effects, such as that provided by a weapon of speed, nor does it actually grant an extra action, so you can't use it to cast a second spell or otherwise take an extra action in the round.)

A hasted creature gains a +1 bonus on attack rolls and a +1 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves. Any condition that makes you lose your Dexterity bonus to Armor Class (if any) also makes you lose dodge bonuses.

All of the hasted creature's modes of movement (including land movement, burrow, climb, fly, and swim) increase by 30 feet, to a maximum of twice the subject's normal speed using that form of movement. This increase counts as an enhancement bonus, and it affects the creature's jumping distance as normal for increased speed.

Multiple haste effects don't stack. Haste dispels and counters slow.

Out Of Game: Stefflabunny, thank you for the infomation about the boots of speed.

In Game: Felipe replies to Izumi, "OK, lets if this works". Felipe does what Izumi told him what to do to activate the boots - by kicking them together.
