Mett, Haru, Proas and Elrik each take there items, and thank Izumi for handling the distribution.
"I think Yaeth is right/" Said Elrik. "We could rest here before we take on this grove tomorrow."
Mat nods taking another slice of cake and poring a hot cup of tea while looking over his new items.
"Mom ill do what ever you think is good." Votes Haru as he slips the ring on his hand and digs in to his sack of items to pull the box out a long with his flute.
Praos watches Zen as he picks up book #12 the last book to go over.
"I would not mind resting here, there is a lot yet I would like to ask Zen both about the grove and the war as well as how we are going to wake my god."
Zen opens the book 12 slowly looking over each page even with the Madness they they hold his face shows no reaction to the Scribblings on the pages, he slowly looks over each one as he flips threw the book. After a little while he mumbles. "He was so close to have gotten it so wrong."
Izumi tells her son, "Resting here does sound like a good idea. Gives us time to recover from our recent toils."
Izumi takes a few more pieces of fried Octopus and goes to sit back down by the pile of items that need to be stuffed back in the magical pack. There she waits for Zen to finish reading the last book.
(Out of Game: I want Holly to have the boots of swiftness, as it will help her skills greatly. It would make her abilities such as hiding, sneaking, opening locks, disabling devices, and a few other skills far more formidable. And Make her harder to hit and able to tumble in and out of battles to keep from getting too badly injured. Also makes her reflexes improved to where if she sets off a trap accidently she'd get out of the way and not killed.)
"Miss Izumi, thank you so much.. I believe that I'll try to figure out how to work with that sand, but for now I don't know if I should mess with it. Maybe I could use it to set this grove on fire? Would that be wise? Or no? I like the idea of burning a pestilential evil plant... But.. I somehow think it might be a really bad idea."

Zen gives a heavy sigh as he shuts the book a couple of moments later. He stands up, book 12 still in hand, and walks over to near where the torch hangs. He holds the book over the open flame and it quickly is swallowed up in fire.
Matthias and Praos jump to their feet. In a fit of shock Praos yells out, "No! I was going to bring that back to... How could you. Why!"
The old man stand there, the book in his hand on fire, paying no mind to the pages as they burn and fall to ashes from his hand. He looks Praos in the eye and speaks, his voice even and strong, "If you had followed this book, you would all fail and likely die. Sadly, the author of this had lost to much of his mind to madness by the time he filled its pages with ink. I do not know what he meant when he said in the last page that he had managed to wake your God as he still sleeps. Whatever he has woken will likely only add to the difficulty of achieving your quest."
"Then, blood is not needed?" Haru's voice was quivering with fear and so soft it could of been mistaken for a whisper.
Zen's eyes shifted to the boys face. "No."
The book was nearly finished burning. The ashes of pages and bits of burnt leather fell to the floor and Zen lifted his foot to stomp out the last of the flames before it burned his rug.
"Blood is not the key, knowledge is. Knowledge of life, a mistaken interpretation of old story's can lead fools down dark paths. Your group needs have no such fools to triumph."
"Yes holly burning the grove would not be wise. The smoke would fill the dungeon carrying the spores of it with it, and would be a Toxic smoke at that." Zen says.

Holly smirks, "I really thought of that. I remember burning black mold once, it wasn't pleasant. Oh well, I'm just thinking of the pathe of least resistance at the moment. I think..."
Holly trails off, "I believe I'll take the boots of swiftness if you please. It would make me useful and be able to keep up with all of you. My short feet can only take me so far."
"I'll take the belt and the flash coins," Alexander tells Izumi, "But the shield doesn't work for me. I don't like heavy armor, but I suppose I'll take the plate, if Yaeth wants the Chain."
He sips his drink and eats cake and octopus.
Izumi looks at Matthias, "It's shield. It can protect you from melee and range attacks."
She then asks if any one else is interested in the boots of Swiftness besides herself and Holly, and waits for replies.
