Though I may not be of a help with traps and stuff like that, if we come across something of the divine or arcane I may be of assistance ." He paused a moment, put a rather fake smile in an attempt to make everyone feel at ease, and added " And a good listener. Not that it will be of much use down here. "

Matt smiles toward Praos as he catches on to Matt's attempt to set a tone of teamwork.

Not really paying heed to it Elrik pushes the hair out from his face, revealing his one red eye, in a normal motion of the hand to the face done with out much thought.

Out of game: It is fairly common knowledge that red eyes are not natural. And the fact he only has one red eye is even stranger on top of having one at all. To some one that is never seen something with red eyes this could be very off putting or disconcerting, and most definitely strange and odd.

Elrik hands his belt to Matt and looks at the group.

"I am Elrik a follower of Er-u Tan and have lived here much of my life. Some would say I am a wandering healer, others that I am the favored friend of farmers. I do what I can to help those who cannot help themselves. I do not want to dwell long here. I miss the sun on my face and I still have yet to get a gift for my mother's birthday." At that he smiles, a real smile as if he forgot that he is underground in a test that no one has past pulling a friends body off of spikes. An innocent smile that shows there is hope in him.

"Elrik looks up at the group. We should hurry. Every second we are down here is one more second that Izumi's son is alone and one more second that we have failed in our task."

Elrik looks at Felipe, "When I said that we are stronger than a group my friend I mean this. A group can be broken by individual will. As companions we are of one will. That is stronger than a group of individuals trying to survive. We are not just trying to survive; we are trying to prove to our gods that they have placed their faith in the correct vessels. That is what I mean."

(Out of Character:: Kitten are you talking about Elrik or Matt? Do we both have one red eye?)

If you are refereing to Elrik and if he notices that anyone is staring he looks into the spike pit and says. "That is a reminder that children should not play in caves or dungeons for that matter. I was unfortunate to have came in contact with the red mist. But I think it will be of use to us. One of the messages on the wall referenced a red eye."

Out of game : Sorry I thought I had typed out your name, I edited it to fix what I had meant. Sorry for any confusion. I'm trying to push plot along.

In game: "You. You came in contact with red mist! And, lived? Wow I... I never would of thought that possible." Matt exclaims in a bit of disbelief.

Felipe says to Matt while giving him his belt, "here is the belt, you will need it to make up a rope to rescue the dead body"

Finally with the rope belt made as best as it can be with out the last belt from the newly arrived woman, they can attempt to lower Praos down and retrieve Rudiger's body.

"Ok, your up Praos." Matt said offering one end of the finished belt rope to him.
In order to see if this works I need a dexterity and strength check form Praos
And I will roll a strength check for Matt. If any one wants to help Matt they would need to also roll a straight check but this also adds a bonus to the over all out come.

After finishing the makeshift 'rope', Izumi will help with the lowering and lifting duties. As they are going, she speaks up, "As I've said I own a few butcher shops, and run it along with my family. I used to be in a mercenary band that would help out towns and cities in the area of Sand-Da Bar. I've know combat since I was 16 mostly in the martial way, and I also found I had a bit of talent in arcane magics. I have been more than ten years out of that life, but one never forgets how to fight."

Izumi thinks about her next statement, and reveals uneasily because of reactions she's gotten in her past, "Something else of note, I do not know why, but I can see almost as well in the dark as in the daylight."

Izumi finishes her little intro, then looks over at Elrik as they are chatting about his 'red eye'. She looks the man over then asks, "Hey, how long is that chain of yours? Can we use it to add onto the makeshift rope?"

Elrik looks at Izumi, "That may not be best, it shocks when touched. But it is about 5 feet long when fully extended." Elrik extends the chain and touches the end to see if it shocks him before handing it over. "If someone can just grab him me and Izumi are strong enought to drag them both up." While he wants to help his friend, Elrik knows they should be leaving soon.

"Krusten, is it possible to scout the rooms around this one so we can get out options while we finish out task at hand?"
