Listening to the Journal being read, Izumi is silent until the end. When Praos finishes, Izumis first reaction is, "Well, hell...Someone had a lot of time, not to mention coin, to come down here and try to decipher the words all over that room. Praos, that book will be quite useful to us, do not lose it."
"I think we should be moving on directly. I think we should take the belt, the boot laces, the two belt bags, the bastard sword with the harness, the dagger, the water skin, the days rations, the chalk, the sack with the string, and the two silver from Rudigars body. I'll collect the belt and laces with the sack with string. Elrik, besides the necklace, would you take the chalk and the water skin. Felipe, you take the sword and harness. Matthias, please take the rations, and the silver. Praos, can you hold the dagger for Krusten, and would you take the belt bags."
After this, Izumi begins to take the things she mentioned off the body with or without help. She then pulls Rudigers body off to one side and tries to lay him as peacefully as she can with his arms folded over himself. She then takes his smithy apron off of his waist, and covers his face after making sure his eyes are closed.
When done with that task, Izumi then takes one of the blue feathers and places it in Rudigars hands as if he were holding it. She takes the chalk and writes his name on the wall he lays by. She stands back up, and passes everyone the items she asked them to take.
Izumi bows her head for a moment, then says to their fallen comrade, "I did not know you for long Rudigar, but I hope you find yourself in the arms, or wings, of your God.
Izumi places the items she has into the sack, then adds it to her belt. She then looks at the spears she left on the ground and announces as she picks one up, "Does anyone want either of the two other spears? If not, I'm just going to leave them here. Either way let's move on."
After finishing reading the book, Praos realised he was doing so out loud .Thomas Greenwater... he thinks Ten years missing and now that. Why would he waste so much gold and possibly forfeit his life to explore this place ? Who was the old master and the apprentice he speaks of ?
It took him some time to realise what Izumi told him, being lost in his thoughts as he was. He grabbed the beltbags and strapped them on, and replied " Oh do not worry. This book is not only a great help to our goal, but it is also something that my order needs to have a look at ." And with that he tacked the journal in one of the beltbags. As if suddenly remembering something from the journal, he turned to Elrik and said "Have you always been ... Sorry, do not mean to intrude on private matters ."
Out of Character: : I will hold the dagger for now and when Krusten comes to this room or we meet her, I will give it to her .
Out of game: (To Praos)
Along with recalling that he has been missing for 10 years, you can remember once meeting him in the temples where you where races, you memory of it is a little fuzzy as it was over 10 years a go and you where just a boy, but non the less you recall him non the less.
In you memory you had just finished when your chores and study's when you where asked to help a visiting scholar put books a way in one of the grand library. Upon your arrival you where met by a man of mid age in the prime of his life. Thomas Greenwater, had stacks of books around him at the table and from the look of it he had likely been there studding for days. This was one of your fist items in the restricted area of the library. This was the "Wing of profits," where books held the ranting of monks deep in trance, as well as story's and songs of things yet to come.
The man welcomed you and introduced him self. You recall helping to put the many stacks of books away for him. As you did, you over hear him talking to the Eldest Monk at the temple just as you where finishing. You can't recall the exact wording of the conversation but you recall distinctly the request of coin, as Thomas Greenwater convinced the congregation's leader that the investment was "Worth the gamble, if it meant the return of ..."
You dropped the last book you where putting a way and did not hear the name. When you went to pick up the book and put it on the self you recall the books having been open to a lovely image. The image was depicting the last days of the war again the image of a faceless boy a old looking man and a blue light behind them was painted on the page. The dark Red Mist spiraling up from around the artworks framing the image. You read the title of the image before closing the book and putting it on the self. The images was titled, "The masters last day."
The images of this child hood memory reminds you of what you saw in your dream only a night a go.
In game:
Matt takes the items handed to him and add a comment.
"By the seas of the untamed waters of the word! This will prove to make things more interesting, all be it more difficult."
Taking a moment to put the items a way he adds.
"Hay Praos, you had a rather shocked look on your face when you started to read that what was it that cot your eye?"
Praos does not reply immediately, as if he is thinking something over and over in his head. Finally, he turns to Matthias and says " I cannot put my finger on it yet, but other than the help these notes seem to be regarding our situation, this book might be really important to my order ." He paused a moment, making a motion to check the book in the bag ." While we are here this book belongs to all of us. But the writer is a prestigious sage of my order and he appears to be in some sort of mission. So if possible I wish to keep this for myself when and if we manage to see the light of day again ." And with that he starts walking towards the room he was and where Krusten is right now " There are more than it meets the eye in here " Memories, images and thoughts start racing in his head but he stills them. What is to come will come and they must stay vigil and survive this pit .
After hearing Praos reading the book aloud, Felipe remained silent for a while and he thought to himself, "hmm, interesting man", and when Izumi told him to take the bastard sword and the harness, he still doesn't say anything, he just takes the two things and wait for the party to move.
Elrik listens. We need to move we do not know how long we have been down here or if the test becomes harder the longer we wait.
Lets finish paying respects to our friend and move to the next room. Elrik looks up Praos can you tell us if this man was a good man? Was his quest noble? And starts walking to the larger room. Doing a count of his friends in his head. We are missing one. Elrik looks up, "Krusten, where are you? We are ready to move."
In Character: Krusten examines the large door with 3 keyholes, she wonders if she can pick it open.
Out of Character: I didn't really see anything to add the focus seems to be on the main party at the moment unless I missed something.
In game:
The keyholes have some light scratches on them making you think they have been picked before, and likely could be again.
Out of game:
You will have to make a roll to attempt to pick a lock, in the case of this door you will have to make groups of 3 rolls, one for each hole.
