After her leap over the seal, she'll catch up to the others before the acid room. She then asks Krusten, "Hey, we need the book in that bag. Let's open it up and see what else Haru buried in there."
And so it begins.
Alexander Ver Strechliffe, a fairly well looking man with a secret to his past has come to call this city Home. Originally he was from the Crystal Crest Kingdom,. Though Danica and the city of Florana is a Lush metropolis, the wonders of magic and technological marvels of his home make this city seem quaint in Comparison.
It is late morning and after a night with a strange and wondrous dream, Alexander Ver Strechliffe is house Hunting, He has spent the last month here living out of a tavern searching for work, and now with his apprenticeship starting tomorrow at the market trade and commerce bank his new home.
As he walks the housing district of the city, his mind keeps drifting to the dream of the night before. It was Strange to say the least and unlike most dreams this one has stayed vivid and clear in the mind even many Hours after wakening.
The dream.
You are home in the capitol of Crystal Crest standing aloft the top of one of the outermost towers and supports That keeps the city towering on high over the lake and its whirlpool. Your brother, alive and well in your dream, walks up behind you. You both wear the uniform of the royal guards, Your division was that of Bounty Hunters and Escorts, but this is a welcome day off. As you stand looking out Over the wall he speaks with you." I am wondering brother, what do you think it feels like to fly? Do you think It's like falling or something more" he asks you. You answer him, "I would not know. I imagine it must be like Falling, just you"re going up." He smiles as you both gazing out over the landscape; the reflective Mountains in the distance taper the light of the sun and they seem almost too special in the mist. Your brother Speaks again, adding. "Hummm, if it is like falling then let me know what it feels like someday, okay?" Before the Words and their content can reach you, you are falling as if pushed from the ledge. As you look up, the form Of your brother morphs into the form of the man you killed as you go plummeting downward at a deadly Velocity toward the water.
When, finally, the splash comes, the water shatters like glass as the illusions of the world breaks apart. You Are floating in a void of space. A thousand voices in your head all crying out in pain, words disconnected and Without meaning. You feel as if you have just had a spell cast on you, but you know not what or who.
Then the void is silent and begins to fade from black, to blue, to purple, to red, a bloody red; deep and heavy in its Crimson. As you jolt awake the words echoing in your ears as you wake were "Follow the books"
Back into reality.
Distracted by his thoughts as he was walking he bumps into a well-dressed man, knocking several packages out of His hands. Stumbling back a step and dusting yourself, you look down. Being a good person at heart you see you Have knocked his belongings from his hands and move to pick them up and hand them back. "Hay there! Watch where you are going, knave. Just who do you think you are to dare lay hands upon me. If I was A cruel man I could have you fined for"¦" He stops cold as you and him look face to face as you move to hand him what you have gathered to return to Him. He is the brother of the man you killed in revenge for your own brothers death. You drop his items And move your hand to your sword, but he was first on the draw and has raised his blade to your neck forcing you Back against the wall of a building front. "I should slice from you every pound of flesh and drop of blood your hands took from my brothers." He looks you in the eye, his gaze sweltering with pent up rage and hate. "Still, I think I know something better to do with you. Guards! Guards!" he calls, keeping his blade at your neck.
It swiftly becomes a scene of you being dragged away as the man shows a warrant of your face on parchment with a 200 gold reward listed beneath it for the murder of the Captain of the Royal Guard in the capital city of the Crystal Crest. A hefty bounty indeed but perhaps undervalued for the status of the man your hands bare the blood of.
The guards have taken your items, weapons, and armaments. Luckily, they missed the concealed blade within your boot. You are thrown in a cell on one of the many cell blocks. It is only moments later that a guard passes by, Dropping a small sack into your cell and in a sarcastic tone wishing you luck. As he walks away, the sound of Gears and metals screeching is proven to be that of the door on the back side of your cell opening leading you In to an enclosed set of hallways to a conjoined room.
Above two small round tunnels on the wall is written in stone a passage that strikes a chill to your very core. You Stand at the entrance to the "Trial of the Gods", a fate worse than death.
You take a moment to collect your thoughts before deciding on one of the tunnels and crawling in. The metal lined Tube quickly takes a steep and plummeting downward dip. As you slide you manage to pass a skillful check of your Dexterity, preventing yourself from landing oddly, losing your items, or being harmed as you crash in to a pile Of something before hitting a wall.
As you stand you realize quickly the pile that had braced your fall was that of bones. A flash of childhood fears and you raise your fist to your mouth biting in to your own hand to block the Uncontrollable reaction to scream. As you are stumbling backward into the clear and lit hallway, you stand Dazed for a moment unable to move your eyes from the mass of bone. It is clear in your mind they will spring To life at any moment like the story's you were told relentlessly by your mother. After a moment of having your Eyes fixed on the bones you relax, while sickening they are motionless. Your heart sinks in mournful thought For the loss of life that others before you have encountered, and that their mortal coils braced your fall. Though, at the Same time you are relieved, too.
Your clean ears hear a sound from down the hallway and as you move through in to a larger room you are Unseen as a group of peasants pass through an open door. Your eyes quickly scan the large room as it is covered in Drawings and passages of words in many languages.
When you realize the door is closing, you make a dive for it but not in time. You slam your shoulder Into the heavy metal door, making a clang.
A clang?
You stop to look yourself over and realize possessions that you did not own before have appeared on you. Heavy On your hip sits a blade the likes of which you have never seen. You draw it forth, cutting at the air to test its Balance, and it feels natural within your hands. The light silver nearly mirror like reflective blade seems to nearly glow in the odd lighting of this room. You Look up noticing that the light in this pit is from a ceiling of glowing crystal ore overhead. As you stop to take Account of your possessions and the contents of that sack given to you by the guards, you discover you have a Waterskin of dirty water. With the presence of a well of clean water you refill your water skin dumping the old Water out in a pile of rock dust and crumbled stone. As you do this, you find a small chunk of the glowing ore That at one time must of fallen from the ceiling. Its light glow works as if it is a candle, and so you pocket it as the Start of your low to nonexistent supplies.
As you try to figure how to open the doors, you discover a small puddle of water on the floor near the door that Had been open a moment ago. You also take the time to read what passages from the wall you can understand.
Dwarven:
"Feast not in the hall of dreams, or sleep forever there."
"Disturb no dancing man of stone."
Gnome:
" Light feet are still felt on her web."
"In the hall of eyes walk strait, run if you can."
Common:
"Take nothing from the grove"
With little else to try, you scoop some water from the well in your hands and splash it on one of the three doors at Random. The door opens with the sound of gears. For lack of want and wasted time you decide to just go into This door marked with the symbol of a dragon.
The dark hallways prove pitch black to your eyes, but with the aid of the small ore you found the passage Becomes a creeping walking as darkness is only penetrated a couple feet at a time.
You eventually come to a room, and you stop just shy of its doorway, too. At risk of losing your light, you decide To toss the chunk of ore into the room to light it up and with hope reveal any traps hidden there. The stone Sparks and skips across the ground before stopping as it collides with an object on the floor. You can feel the Flow of blood drain form your cheeks as your eyes adjust to the dim light and the shapes of the mangled pile Of newly dead bodies are outlined in the room. The peasants you had seen enter only a mere few moments prior ago, lay blood covered in a heap in front of you.
As the sound of the door behind you slamming rings through the silent halls, you realize the only way you can go Is to press onward though the obviously trapped room.
Searching with your eyes, you think you can see a lever on the far side of the room. It seems undisturbed and Without a better train of thought, you gather they were harmed in the trap by not pulling it. Then, if you make a Running leap and pull it, perhaps it's the disarming safeguard for this room.
You back up and take a running jump, you make the leap and land slightly smacking into the wall but quickly Pulling the lever. You can feel the 'whoosh' of air as a blade slashes out from the wall nearly missing you. If you Had not been pressed against the wall where you are, it likely would of sliced through your unarmored body clean Through the waist.
The sound of gears slowly turning is heard underfoot too late as a large trap door opens and you, along with three dead And blood covered bodies go plummeting in to a sloped tunnel.
Sliding out of control you can not steady yourself, wrapping your arms over your head to protect it, you give out a Prayer out loud. (I need to know what you pray and to whom)
Your speed of decent picks up, the metal lined walls of the slope burn with friction and rip at your clothing. You ball Up as best you can taking minor damage. (Please subtract 6 HP)
You, at one point, bang pretty hard against the side of the slide as it takes a sharp turn and fast drop. After feeling like you have been falling forever, you come crashing down and out in a substantial thud against the Wall. You hear ringing in your ears as the light fades from your eyes and you drop into subconsciousness.
"Follow the books," a voice in your mind unknown to you speaks as you lay there knocked out from the waking world. It takes several hours before you come to, and when you do the first thing you notice is that the opening from which the shoot dumped you out of is closed overhead seamlessly into the stone. You then realize you're half buried in body parts and soaked in congealing blood. Your items scattered around you in the mass of bodies.

Alexander blearily opens his eyes, taking in his situation sluggishly. A chute above him...he remembers falling...and something about a dream?
"Follow the Books."
The words amble through his mind as he struggles towards conciousness.
Suddenly, memories of the last several hours rush back to him. Bodies. He's laying in Bodies. Alexander regulates his breathing before panic can set in.
He crawls just away from the mouth of the chute, in case something else drops down. He then finds the cleanest rag he can find and attempts to clean his face using one of the water skins found on the bodies.
"What in the hells was Captain Malress's brother doing in Danica?" He thinks to himself.
After he finishes cleaning himself, he holds up the small stone and surveys the room.

Alexander inspects the "Symbol of the unknown."
After, he collects the remaining two waterskins and checks the cloth sacks, then moves west (by map), slowly and carefully, sword in one hand and glowing stone in the other.
To the main group.
Izumi makes the jump hoping the seal is touch activated and, Krusten backs out of the dark hallway in to the dimly lit large rooms lower platform to be able to see as she opens the bag.
Matt stops next to Krusten and says "Far warning that belongs to the boy"
Haru follows mat along with his mother till almost everyone is gathering up on the lower platform in the blood seal room.
Setting down the bag on the floor and opening it the 1st item on top is odd looking red rod, it rests on top of a large blue book with a matching binding to the one your group found hours a go up in the trap rooms, only this one has a little more where and tare and is marked with a grater number on its binding. Beneath the book is a small silver key that looks in part to be blank or toy like. There is a water skin in the bag as well as well as a handful of chalk and broken peaces of chalk. Mixed in with the chalk is a holy symbol of De Bar Ren. (wooden)
To Oinodaemon:
As you move left across the map you realize there are some small lights along the hallway but the affixed to the wall glowing stones light is impeded by the thick webs. As you make your fist couple of movements small spiders scatter across the webs in many directions.
Directly in front of you is a door half covered in webs, it is not locked if you move to open it.
Your clothing is sticky and in some areas sticking to your skin, in others it has began to dry and is stick and lacks the flexibility of its normal clean state. You manged to clean your face off but that used up the only clean anything you had along with half a water skin of dirty water.
As you play around with the blank disk pendant you spin it at one point, as it spins hanging down from the chin and your grasp it seems to change form then color as it stops its taken on a new shape. The pendant appears to now be the holy symbol of Fendrill. Fascinated you try spinning it again, this time concentrating on one of the other gods and goddesses, each time you spin it it changes from to represent a different symbol, while having a bit of fun playing a round with it at one point it drops from your hand and with a bell like sound as it hit s the floor it returns to being a plain disk in its original state.
