Alexander searches his immediate area looking for a small to medium sized rock. If he finds one, he tosses it farther into the room, attempting to lure possible threats away from himself. He completely covers the glowing stone with his hand, and crouches, making himself as small as possible.

As the items are taken from the bag, Izumi notes each. After they are out she says, "Another blue book. I wonder if it is the companion to the other one. I found a key similar to that one a ways back."
Izumi bends on one knee to retrieve the symbol of her God. Taking it in her fingers, she looks over to the rod noting it's red color. She picks it up also and tries to discern it.

Alexander
You find something at fist your think to be a rock, but as soon as you pick it up you realize its a skull, while creepy it will work for your intended plain.
You stay hiding for a while after tossing the scull in to the room. It broke threw a couple of the webs before sticking and slowly ripping a web as it falls to the floor. Small spiders crawl past some over you you can feel them in your hair and on your skin some times its real other times it just your mind playing ticks as webs pull at your arm hairs. There is no observed danger in the room before you. The thought crosses your mind that perhaps if there are bigger spiders the activity on there web will draw them out the longer and more the webs are disturbed. The want of getting out of this place becomes ever increasing.
Izumi
Izumi fondles the rod for a moment before realizing what it is. "Rod of Enemy Detection" this rod can be used 3 times a day to detect an enemy or group of enemy's with in 60 feet pointing to where they are hidden, even if invisible. Your fist reaction to it is less how useful it might be and more what a thing like this costs! having seen one, one time in your youth in a magic items shop you recall it having a price tag around 23,500 Gold.

Oinodaemon you are going to want to condense your list of specials down to save space in the character sheet box and add a list of your items. That box is limited on its space and you will want to keep track of your supply where it is handy.

Alexander walks quickly but quietly across the room, watching the floor, walls and ceiling. He sticks as close to the middle of the room as he can.

You move threw the room fine, and make your way threw a thin hallways then in to a wide corridor, and yet another door up a small fight of steps. Spiders scatter as you walk, you see the webs are thinner in this hallway then the rooms you had last passed threw.
You wonder if you are going the right way or not considering how far and long you fell and all the twists and turns of it, there is no way to tell [which] way is what.

Looking over the Rod, Izumi realizes what it is and it's usefulness. "Haru, you buried a Rod of Enemy Detection! We can use this about three times a day to detect any enemy or enemies near about 60 feet. We can just point to where they might be even when in hiding or invisible. Quite useful, my boy. I think either myself, Haru, or Elrik should carry this for our knowledge of the magic arts. Perhaps, even better, Krusten should carry it because of her most likely being in the front of the party all the time with her trap sensing skills. Anyways, who wants to carry it?"
Izumi looks back at the symbol still in her other hand. She raises it towards Haru and asks, "Why did you bury this?"
"I haven't felt much like playing I, I thought..." Haru bits his lip for a moment before continuing. "Well, down here... I felt forsaken. And, when that showed up, I felt... Unworthy." He hangings his head in shame, knowing he is likely even more of a disappointment to his mother now.
Izumi pulls the necklace with the Symbol of De Bar Ren over her sons head, and rests it on his chest while saying, "Haru, there are reasons this is called a "Trial". It can be a battle of faith, as much as will, or as much as overwhelming physical odds. Everyone despairs, it's part of life. Just so you always remember your Truth lies within yourself." Izumi then hugs her child.
Izumi then takes the bag, puts the key into it, and hands it to her son. "Put that on your belt, son. We might need it later." She then picks the blue book up and hands it to Matthias and asks him to look it over for the party, and tell if anything interesting or useful is in it.
