Business Helping Mothers

In recent times this seems to becoming popular, but I wonder why? Maybe the skills of some women are so vital, but it is really a good thing or does it pull mother away from being a 'mom'?

FIRMS WORK WITH MOMS

Returning to work after giving birth is tough. Running a half-marathon on top of that is tougher. But Kirstie Foster did it with the help of her employer General Mills Inc., which provides on-site child-care and health facilities at the company's Minneapolis headquarters.

Mothers Helping Business

For a lot of us moms, we have no choice but to work. So to have a company actually provide day care on-site is a great thing! As far as the health care option goes, I think that aids the company more than the workers, i.e. less time away from the office for doctor's visits, etc. Of course, it's also convenient for the employees.

It makes a lot of sense for a big corporation to do this, when their ratio of working mothers is very high. Why not bring in the daycare and health care, when it means happier workers who lose less time from the job?
