Beer Co. Says Worker Fired for Remarks

GREELEY, Colo. - A man who says a Budweiser distributor fired him for drinking a Coors beer made disparaging remarks about the company while drunk and in uniform at a bar, a company attorney said. Jeff Bedingfield, who represents American Eagle Distributing Co., disputed claims made by fired worker Ross Hopkins, 41, in a lawsuit heading for trial in state court.

To me this is clearly a case of wrongful termination. He was on his own time.

If he was off duty, and not wearing a uniform, what's the problem? There must be more to the story. I feel sorry for the guy.
