President Obama will nominate business executive Sally Jewell as his new Interior Secretary, officials said. Jewell is the CEO of Recreational Equipment Inc., an outdoor-outfitting company headquartered in Kent, Wash., and has a good reputation among environmentalists. Two administration officials confirmed the appointment, speaking on condition they not be named because President Obama will make a formal announcement this afternoon. Ref. USAToday

Obama Interior Secretary Nominee's Firm Got Obamacare Waiver
Revelations have come out today that Sally Jewell, President Obama's nominee for Interior Secretary, received an Obamacare waiver for her company's firm.
This comes as pro-life groups and religious organizations are unable to get a broad conscience exemption from the Obama administration to opt out of the HHS mandate that compels them to pay for birth control and drugs that may cause abortions. Ref. Source 4
