Body Removed From Burning California Cabin Believed to Be Fugitive Former Cop Christopher Dorner, Sources Say [9:50 p.m. ET] Ref. ABC News
Los Angeles police and the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Office moved Tuesday night to counter reports that a body believed to be that of renegade ex-cop Christopher Dorner had been recovered from a burning cabin near Big Bear Lake, California.
"No body has been pulled out," LAPD Cmdr. Andrew Smith said at a news conference. "No reports of a body being ID'd are true."
The cabin area was "Too hot to make entry," Smith added.
Cindy Bachman, a spokeswoman for the lead agency in the case, the San Bernardino Sheriff's Department, said at a separate news conference that authorities believe whoever was in the cabin never left.
"They believe that there is a body in there, but it is not safe to go inside," Bachman said.
Other sources earlier told CNN that authorities had found a body in the rubble of the fire and identified it as Dorner's. Ref. CNN
Sheriff: Cabin fire wasn't intentional
The blaze was a result of pyrotechnic gear they shot into the cabin, he said.

They probably did that because they were really scared to be another one of his victims. Can't say I disagree, its not like Doner started out on equal ground. Still I would rather if he was captured and could say more about his story.

If any of what he said about the corruption is true then there would be a definite need to take him out and him held up in a cabin and them burning it up would secure everything. Did they confirm the body yet?

I don't think that Doner could be considered dangerous for what he might say. His story didn't lead up to anything when he witnessed in the trial, in 2008, and I don't see how things could change now that the events are far away in the past.
Everybody knows his story already, from what I learned. Deciding to become a criminal didn't made him more popular for sure.

That's the end of this story. Now probably the media will analyze the facts for a few days and, when a new story will catch the attention of the public, all of this will be forgotten and relegated to pure criminal statistics for the area.
