Snakes In Trinidad & Tobago

I heard on the radio that in Caroni they found an anaconda (16 foot long, 200 lbs) crossing the road like nothing, they called the zoo and they caught it, largest anaconda the zoo ever had.

A lady was telling me that she lives deep in the valley and just the other day a long snake was crossing the road and attempting to swallow a small dog and the neighbors saved the dog. That's why you shouldn't sleep your windows open at all if you live near a forested area.

Anacondas are found in or near marshland / wetlands only. I doubt the second snake was an anaconda.
