Quasar doesn't like at all what he hears from downstairs. "We have to get out of here", he says to the other two, "And maybe we should let him go, also. He knows our names".
The magician takes a good look at the alley below. "I propose we untie him. Then we wait until those fanatics come up and try to get inside. If they start forcing the door open, we flee. We can use the rope that is binding Kevon and I have another one if needed but the last of us will have to jump. Once safe, we can study a way to free to priest".
As Quasar is. Talking Arthriel puts his chain in the small of his back up against his pack but still with in easy reach. He leaves his axe on his belt but in an non ominous manner and checks his hidden hook blade to make sure it is at the ready. Arathiel proposes to Qasary that if his staff is sturdie enough and long enough to go across the window that they tie the rope to one send so that when pressure is released they can pull the rope and his staff out of the room while the chances of any one getting hurt is decreased. If they decided against this option arathriel would stay room and hold the rope as with his hook blade he would have the least distance to fall. Arathriel agrees that they should turn kevon lose. Arathriel wants to leave immediately because if the defenders are arresting a priest surely they will all be arrested
Byron walks slowly along the side of the tavern, examining the wall for any potential escape routes or back entrances (windows, back doors and the like).
Out of character: Which side of the alley is the tavern on? Does it extend all the way to the fork, and if so, does the fork go around the back side of the tavern?
"This man could prove himself a valuable companion", thinks Quasar. To Arathriel: "We will do as you said. Is an excellent plan. But I would wait for them to come upstairs so it will take longer before they run after us. Do you guys agree?". The magician starts then to untie Kevon. He secures the rope to his quarterstaff, checks that the knot is strong and firm and, when satisfied, looks down into the alley to be sure they will run in the direction that is opposite to the tavern entrance. He stores his daggers and places the staff against the window's frame. He will pull then the rope a couple of times to make sure the staff will hold. "Zed, do you want to go first? I can be the second with Kevon being the last. We will move as soon as we hear them on this floor. We don't want to jump down only to discover they are next to the entrance and ready for the chase".
Whispering to Quasar and Arathriel, "Sounds like a plan, we'll wait until they try to come up and I'll go down the rope first ."Zed keeps his eyes out the window on the alley and his ears tuned to the sounds coming from down stairs. "If I hear anyone start to come up the stairs ill start to head down the window."

Forthan - The guard places heavy iron shackles on your wrists and twists a key in the lock. He escorts you outside, and the other guards join in formation with Riley and the barmaid as they stamp their way outside. The captain begins climbing the stairs.
Quasar/Zed/Arathriel - Kevon is very still while being untied, "Thank you for showing me this trust." He says quietly.
Quasar ties the rope to the staff in an intricate knot, and Zed prepares to climb out the window. Looking out the window, you can see a Halfling walking down the alley. The thump of boots sounds on the stairs.
Byron - The tavern is on your right hand side, and there are several windows above you. A couple of people are sticking their heads out of the third window in, one story up. They seem to be getting ready to climb out the window. The right hand fork leads behind the tavern.
Byron, in the interest of determining the exact goings-on of this confusing tavern, shouts up to the people sticking their heads out of the window. "Greetings friends! I was wondering if you had any knowledge as to what was occurring in the lower room of this tavern."
In Game: Forthan was true to his word and does not resist. Once they are outside he will try to stand near to the bar maid and riley so he can check them both for injuries. HE will ask the guards if any of them have any injuries they may need healed of.
Out of Character: Are the shackles made for the common human? If so he will look at them and see if the needs arise if he can slip them off. He will not make any attempt of that currently.
