Arathriel sees the actions of the halfling and decides to watch and if the guard doesn't begin to come around the corner Arathriel will quietly make his way down the rope.
Out of game what is the guard captain doing? Is he still coming up the stairs or?
Party - The defender turns the corner. He reacts quickly, seeing the rope, "Hey! We've got more over here! They're trying to escape!" He charges down the alley, weapon drawn. Another defender follows him. The boot steps sound on the stairs again as the captain runs downstairs towards the front door. One guard is in the street, guarding Forthan, Riley, and the Barmaid.
Forthan is able to get close enough to inspect Riley and the Barmaid, their wounds are minor, and washing them is out of the question, bound as you are. The remaining defender points his sword at you in a threatening manner.
Out of Game: Two defenders are in the alley, one a little ways in and the other just past the mouth.
The captain is inside the inn, heading for the front door, judging by the sounds. One defender is in the street, guarding Forthan, Riley, and the Barmaid.
Arathriel and Quasar are still in the room, Zed is in the alley under the window, and Byron is halfway between Zed and the mouth of the alley. Byron could reach and attack the closer guard, but just barely (to give a sense of proportion). Forthan, obviously, is in the street.
Initiative Rolls, please. Arathriel, I made your roll for you.
Quasar whispers to Kevon and Arathriel: "Quick, move the furniture away from the door. I will go down by the window while you two go through the door. We can engage them from two sides if it will end up in a fight. If you are quick enough, you could be able to neutralize the one that was coming up before he joins the others".
Quasar will wait to see if the others agree with his idea. If yes, he will quickly go down the rope.
Byron slows and pulls out his dagger, ready to throw it if something aggressive comes around the corner.
Out of game: Is it just an empty alleyway, or is it like a normal alleyway with trashcans and barrels and rubbish that one could hide behind?
Initiative roll: 13 (13+4=17)
Out of Game: Byron, two guardsman are currently charging straight at you with their swords in hand. One is closer, close enough to engage in melee, but just barely. The alley is empty. The streets in Plaeti are wooden boardwalks, and ramps lead into the muddy alleys, sometimes. The alleys flood up on occasion, so there are no trash bins or anything of the sort in the alleys.
If you attack this round, I need a To Hit and a Damage roll. Please leave rolls unmodified. If you should choose to move at any speed quicker than a walk in the mud I will need a reflex check (unmodified).
Forthan will ask the guard if he could have some water to wash out the wounds on these two. He will reassure the guard that they will not make any attempt to escape. He just wishes to see those who are injured to be well in the name of the Allstar.
Forthan - The defender scoffs at your request, "Those who have forsaken Truth shall be spared no quarter. Now stay quiet until your accomplices are taken care of. We don't have the man power to drag any more of you to our head quarters, so you'd best stay quiet if you want to make it there alive." He grins at you in a very unpleasant way.
