Hearing Arathriel's suggestion, Quasar nods in agreement. He tries to lift the big warrior (Kevon) on his shoulders, like a sack of potatoes ready for the market, and head for the exit door (Oinodaemon, let me know if I can lift him, if I have to roll or whatever).
If he can't do it alone, he will seek the help of Zed Thorn. Otherwise, better if the elf takes the place of the barmaid (I'm a gentleman after all...).
Zed jumps in to help quasar lift and carry [Kevon] down the stairs out side and to the cart. Zed responds to [Arathriel], "Good idea, maybe he could be of some use to us."
Forthan will ask the priestess if she has any idea of where on the island this artifact may be located. He will otherwise tell her that he will seek this artifact out and bring it to her if he is not able to destroy it.
Forthan-
"We guess somewhere to the West, based on resonations of the planet. There is definitely a blight, or a patch of Evil, as if a stone has been thrown in a pond, evil rippling outward, spreading and multiplying. Beyond that, I cannot tell you. This is a great task, Initiate, but know that the Light of the Gods is upon you. You will be successful, I know. If you are ever wounded, or need help with your quest you may return and we will help as we can." She smiles again and hands you a full coin purse (82 Gold).
"Here. I know it is not much, but perhaps it will help."
The Drunken Walrus-
Arathriel and the barmaid carry Riley, while Quasar and Zed carry Kevon.
Everyone makes it down the stairs with no problems, and you run out the back door with your loads. There is a small stable yard here, with a cart and several horses, though most of the stalls are empty.
"Ardie!" The serving girl screams, "Get out here and get the blasted cart ready, Riley's been injured!"
A sandy-haired youth pops out of a stall with hay in his hair and stares for a moment
"Go on, get moving you lout! He's dying!" Ardie gives a jump at the barmaids fierce tone and hops to, beginning the process of attaching the horses to the cart.
The barmaid looks at Quasar and Zed, "Ugh, why'd you bring him? Better to have let that one die."
She stares disgustedly at Kevon, who is bleeeding profusely from the wound to his shoulder, as well as several spots on his face, which has turned a nasty purplish color.
Forthan will accept the coins with a bow and say any help is enough I will put this to good use and I will let you know of my progress. He bows and says, "May the light of the god bless you". He then exits the temple and heads towards the market. He will look to see if there are any horses available to purchase.
Forthan-
You walk North down the boardwalks that serve as streets here in Plaeti, mud on either side and in the alleys. You eventually find a privately owned stable, open fronted and facing the street. Many horses are on display here, and the stable master approaches you. He is a greasy man with long stringy hair and a bulbous nose. "Hello m'lord, how can I help you this day?" He runs a tongue along yellowed teeth, then spits on the hay covered floor. He smiles at you in a way that makes you slightly uncomfortable.
Forthan- The rough man laughs, displaying discolored gums, "Aye, a good jest m'lord." He spreads his hands, still laughing softly, "It's 500 gold for my least expensive horse. You'll find none other with better prices."
