Those of you who requested the rest of items (guitar case, firearms) do get them.
GM: For Lars action I will need to know if Seth accepts that request otherwise Lars will need to get his own case.
Seth asks what the 'gift' is and Jouber replies,
"To make you feel good man, you know..."
Major accepts the offer and gets a small clear bag with an unusual mixture of dried herbs and small rocks. Jouber tells Jouber,
"You enjoy man"
Jouber then looks at the rest of you to see if you want some.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
Thomas inquires about what the herbs are to which Jouber replies,
"Good stuff, good stuff make you feel nice and relax."
Thomas ponders this but notices a sudden urge to use the toilet.
GM: You need to say if you are taking Jouber's offer or not.
Meanwhile...
One of the men that was previously in the smoky room now opens the front metal door, checks outside and then waves you on to depart if you wish.
Nathan leaves and waits at the village's restaurant. He sees that a few people are watching him but maybe he is just more paranoid now because of where he just came from, but he is unsure. Nathan begins to feel uncomfortable and sweats profusely.
Standing just outside Jouber's place, Uhura and Major begin reading the map and guide. To go through it all will take you at least a half an hour, it will take you a full hour if you want to deeply read it.
Just then...
Seth joins Major and Uhura outside while carrying his rather odd looking case. He notices that the men that were earlier checking you out are now disinterested in your presence.
Lars leaves and to further dissect your group simply waits somewhere in the village unknown to the rest.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
Uhurah and Major leave Jouber's place. They read the guides thoroughly as they wait by the restaurant. They learn about the indigenous species, plants, lookout areas and so forth and feel well informed about the area. Seth later joins them after more or less drifting towards the location.
Around this time...
Lars finds a small but well stocked bar where there is a small hidden dance floor highlighted by some hand made colored lights. Bar stools surround the bar and there are couple of tables with chairs set loosely around. At this time of day there are not many patrons there but the bartender seems rather happy to see you. He puts down a mug he was cleaning with a cloth and with a heavy accent,
"Wa' do you want? Beer? A shot? Rum?"
A man at one end of the bar, a typical looking native biting on some kind of herb as though it were a cigarette, looks up at you.
Meanwhile...
A message comes over your comm in the same format as before. This time the woman asks you to confirm that you received your package and your ETA for Section C2.
And then...
Thomas and Nathan find themselves in the village restaurant's toilet, a dirty looking area that smells badly. Inside to your amazement there is no toilet paper and you feel that you are on the verge of exploding!
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
GM: From now on ALL Players are responsible for their Character's actions being Posted in the Squad order. Do read this entry. This means the Brainstorm Thread is only for Player Discussion / role-play gaming and not a means to tell any Squad Leader your actions as there is no more Squad Leader at the moment.
Nathan and Thomas find themselves in a conundrum with was a rather explosive episode in an unclean toilet, in a village, outside the most remote civilized place. Regrets of eating that foul food trails your mind as well as how to clean up.
Meanwhile...
Lars is excited by the prospects of a hard drink as he hands over 6 Real to the bartender who brings his special order. The bartender salutes your tip and goes about his former job of cleaning the glasses.
Around then...
Three others are waiting by the restaurant. Major imparts to Seth what he has read. He notes the kind of snakes that can be encountered and their poisonous bites. He also points to wild animals and monkeys that have been known to attack in packs.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
Lars inquires of the bartender about the previous event with the guerrillas. The bartender knows right away what you are speaking about and in the best of your language that he knows he makes hand signals while saying,
"They fight jungle, they hide jungle and look for people run away. Be careful is bad, they many in jungle."
Lars feels there is a big communications barrier between the two of you that would hinder any further details that could have been shared.
Meanwhile...
Nathan and Thomas' process of using the unclean toilet by undressing, laying their equipment on the ground, wiping themselves and dressing again is a sight to behold, not that anyone would want to watch such a thing but the memory of this will not soon be forgotten by you or the person that will most likely have to clean up after you later.
You exit the toilet feeling rather icky and instead of trying to further your hygiene you instead simply wait for Lars who is still in the bar. While waiting Nathan and Thomas come to the realization that their ordeal is not yet over as a strong gripe sets in. They buckle their knees and look at each other knowing there is only one place they know of for relief.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
Lars attempts to get more information from the bartender but even with the enticement of 10 Real it does not bring Lars any closer to knowing more about the earlier event. The native man at the other end of the bar catches your episode with the bartender and grins while shaking his head in a manner to show how much of an outsider you are to him, he then goes back to his drink. At that moment Lars' comm activates with Uhura on the other end.
Meanwhile...
Nathan and Thomas become seasoned travelers to the toilet.
Around this time...
The others are generally frustrated of waiting and some leave to go to the edge of village near what you know as Section C2.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
After tying up your lose ends** all of you gather to the South East of the Village to leave for Section C2. According to your guide there are many scenic areas in this Sector that can be seen via some poorly maintained tracks and paths. To head for the South West you will need to go via one of three trails that leads through:
1. Rivers / swamps
2. Thick jungle
3. Over a mountain pass
Wildlife often seen in these areas: exotic birds, flying monkeys, snakes, spiders, caimans, deer, foxes, rodents and very rare felines.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
** Pun intended.
Uhura communicates with the military base about your current location and if they can assist with the path to take towards Section C3. They confirm your communication but cannot assist you with the path to take.
You decide to take a path though a mountain pass. From your tourist guide you can see the hike will be about an hour or two depending on the speed. During the rainy season it can become very slippery. The guide suggests being very careful where you place your feet as what may look as sturdy ground might be soft soil on a ledge.
You begin your hike. The mountain trail, which is somewhat identifiable, is not as dense as the jungle's flat trail but you are still moving through many plants, trees, shrubs, etc.
After about 20 minutes you can see some possible tourists ahead, two couples in rather bright colored attire are about 100 feet from your position. They are probably not aware of your presence as of yet as the surrounding green covers your presence. They seem to be enjoying themselves since you can hear loud laughter and happy conversation.
