The Game Master says...

As the group moves forward Uhura decides to listen to the conversation. She recognizes that some of what they are saying sounds like babbling. Uhura continues with the group.

As you come upon the good looking tourists sitting and moving incoherently you are surprised by their rather scanty dress. One of them even quickly throws 'something' on upon seeing you. They remind you of the college dorms where young adults would often do drug experimentation using their own formulas.

As they begin to acknowledge your presence they share their greetings. One of them asks if you have any 'stuff'. Another asks who you are and what you are doing in the forest all while nervously getting their head in order by twisting their necks and doing some sort of impromptu stretching.

GM: Say what you wish to do now.

The Game Master says...

While most of the group presses on Lars decides to make the most of the moment by flirting with the ladies. The two men, you presume are their boyfriends, are too stoned to even care. Lars begins to relate his 'history' and it excites the girls. They touch him on the shoulder or bump into him as he talks.

Meanwhile...

The rest of the group has already cleared past where the couples were and are now gathered near a fresh water spring that looks inviting considering the heat.

GM: I need a Soul roll for Lars. Say what you wish to do now.

The Game Master says...

Lars invites the two partially incoherent jolly ladies to venture with him awhile to which they agree while laughing. One of them mentions to Lars there is a spring up ahead and she takes off her top to reveal her rather suggestive bathing suit. She laughs and then the other girl does the same only this time she bares her top and leaves on her shorts. The girls then take his arms as though they expect him to lead them making Lars feels like a celebrity or cult leader of sorts. All of you then proceed to the next point where the rest of the group are located.

GM: I need a Soul roll again for Lars.

Meanwhile...

Uhura runs an analysis of the spring water through the divce she was given by the military base. The analysis is complete within a minute and registers the spring water to be mineral rich water safe for human consumption. Uhura relates her find and some of you decide to drink, refresh yourselves and so forth. Seth admires the nature involved.

Just then...

Lars comes with his 'followers' to the spring, the men in the Squad are taken aback and Uhura becomes rather perturbed by what she is seeing.

GM: I need a Soul roll from the rest of you.

The Game Master says...

Uhura is in no way affected by this and maintains her course towards Section C3. Uhura will have covered much ground unless she chooses to stop and wait or return to see what is happening.

Meanwhile...

Seth, Major and Nathan are fixated on the fanfare Lars has oddly drummed up through his chaotic actions during what should be a focused and serious mission. Although Nathan feels somewhat contempt for Lars at the same time he finds himself unconsciously looking at the girls longer than usual.

You then see Lars prompt the girls but they have already jumped into the small pool of the spring thus eliminating the purity of it.

At this point...

Seth, Major and Nathan start to move their feet uncomfortably as they feel a slight stinging sensation, you look down and someone shouts,

"Red hunting ants!"

You presume that the pain you are feeling is associated as you see that a trail of them is crossed by where you are standing.

GM: Say what you wish to do now.

The Game Master says...

Nathan and Seth jumps in the water which frees some of the ants but not the pain, in addition to which you are now soaked.

At the same time...

Thomas stands there trying to advise rather than take action for himself and he begins to feel excruciating pain that makes him to inadvertently dance.

While...

Major stomps and undresses to see the invasion under his pants. These large red ants move with fury and leave stinging bites on his legs. He flicks some away and gets them off but the pain is enough to interfere with his concentration.

Meanwhile...

Uhura makes contact with the base. She asks if they are picking up audio and visuals of what is going on. They confirm that they can through the comm and the chip.

Just at that moment...

The girls laugh at your unlucky situation, however Lars does not seem to be laughing, in fact you are too concerned with your own ill fate that you do not notice that he passed out.

GM: Say what you wish to do now.

The Game Master says...

Uhura asks base what their thoughts are on what they are seeing / hearing to which they simply respond:

"We are monitoring the situation. Base out."

Uhura then sees the condition of Major and begins applying the first aid kit's medication which brings instant relief to Major.

Meanwhile...

Seth and Thomas start to undress while looking to see what destruction the ants caused. You feel like you've been bitten by hundreds of mosquitoes, it makes you irritated and flushed.

At the same time...

Nathan is doing the same thing and feels the same way as Seth and Thomas, but finds that after he has checked himself through he sees out of the corner of his eye that Lars is moving in an epileptic like way and his face is very red with his eyes open wide towards the sky. Red ants have covered most of his body already. You wonder what to do.

While this is happening...

The girls are continuing to laugh and giggle with no apparent reasoning or awareness of what is going on.

GM: Say what you wish to do now.

The Game Master says...

Major, now relieved but still with the evidence that he was attacked by ants, tries to gather himself and return to the area where the group first met their painful encounter.

Meanwhile...

Uhura and Nathan are already on the comm in communication with each other over Lars' condition, Uhura makes her way to his location.

Right after, Nathan calls for help as he tries to move Lars to the spring. Seth joins in and you are able to submerge his body into the water as the ants float off. You bring him back up and still see the hunting ants about his body and clothes as well as floating in the water.

The girls, who are to one end of the spring, see all of this as amusing and it starts to irritate you greatly more especially because you are still feeling the searing of the ant bites.

Seth and Nathan are too involved to notice that Thomas is not among them nor nearby.

GM: I need a Soul roll for Thomas. Say what you wish to do now.

The Game Master says...

You each start to work on Lars but it is too late, his body goes lymph and cold. You notice a lot of unusual swelling about his face and hands, it seems that Lars had a toxic reaction to the bites.

For some reason Uhura becomes ill quickly and vomits at the sight of Lars' ant bitten body, swollen and laying on the ground. She recovers after stepping away and taking some air.

GM: Lars is dead, Oinodaemon is out of the game.

Meanwhile...

Nathan goes back to where they first met the girls. He can see the two guys still relatively stoned and incoherent about your presence.

GM: Say what you wish to do now.
