Uhura ignores the transmission and instead attempts to start a fire with her camp kit. Major encourages Uhura to answer the military base's communication.
Meanwhile...
Thomas begins to see that his injury is worst than he thought as he become sore while resting.
GM: Thomas should subtract another -1 HP
At the same time...
Seth checks his belongs and sees something wiggle out of his pack and disappears quickly into the jungle. Startled by this you believe you now know the source of your corrupted rations.
GM: Seth -1 ration again. Say what you wish to do now.
Uhura recants the events especially those related to Nathan's demise. You are asked why the body of Nathan was not properly hidden to which you have no answer. The military base communicates that,
"Self combustion has been initiated for Nathan. You are lucky no one found the body. Base out."
You wonder what than means as you prepare for the night.
The sun rises...
In the morning you are almost ready for a new day but your hunger needs to be taken care of as your feel unusually famished.
Those of you who were injured and did little to see about it are still in the same condition with pain.
GM: No HP was restored. Say what you wish to do now.
You set your sights eagerly towards C3 after ousting the camp fire, checking your wounds and regaining your bearings.
The trek is a bit easier now and you believe you can see what looks like mud or straw huts ahead in an open clearing within the jungle. Activity abounds as natives are busy about a primitive looking village in the middle of nowhere. You can tell there are young warriors posted around the perimeter of the village. They are not stern nor at attention but they do carry a bow and a blade tied to their loins. You remember reading about this tribe and their love of higher technological items. They expect everyone to pay homage to their gods and traditions and can become offended easily.
GM: We will pause here and take a break. You can recover the lost of those who fell out of the mission, especially having characters with a wider range of skills. Feel free to continue using the Brainstorm Thread to deliberate your plans.
As time passes you feel it important to progress your actions before the mission is doomed. Although you doubt your success because you are few in number yet your will is strong and undeniable.
GM: You can start moving out whenever you like, the mission will be augmented to suit your number.
You radio in. The base is very much aware of your situation but they feel that to enter the next phase may have a risk factor. They ask you to find a remote place away from the trail, setup a cold camp and stay hidden until you get further orders.
GM: Say what you wish to do now and please reference the map as to where you are going.
Leaving the others behind to fend for themselves, Major and Uhura go further South and find some thick forest with a place to make a good lookout.
It is a hot day and the wind is not so strong thus leaving you with the feeling of being sticky and wet. A good shower will probably do wonders about now but there is no nearby water save for your next target at Sector 4 which you can see about 5 miles North West of your location.
You try to make a temporary clearing so your current position is not uncomfortable but in the surrounding bushes you can hear the crack of a twig and the movement of leaves / grass now and again. Hearing this makes you uneasy.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
You position yourselves in defensive positions with weapons ready in case of a sudden attack. The bushes continue to move and occasionally a twig cracks. After a few seconds you begin to hear the voices of men talking in an unfamiliar tongue, which you suppose is native to the area, but you do not see anyone. The talking becomes louder as they seem to be nearing your position. Sometimes you hear laughter so you suppose they have not seen you yet.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
As the bushes begin to part you can see that they are four or five tribesmen similar to the pictures you have before at the military base. The natives appear to have just come from hunting as evident by a large hog they have tethered to a stick they are shouldering. They have not seen you yet as their attention is focused on another part of the jungle.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
