Out of Character: I think the point was avoiding the conservationists because they have too much media coverage and our employers would rather avoid having us broadcasted in the News all around the planet. I think we should rather keep a low profile and use a cover that is easy to keep up: pretending we are from the media is too dangerous and moreover they will expect us to bring some equipment.
As for the gear, if I missed something I still have time to ask for it later....
Out of Character: We could be like tourists since the friendly tribe and the village expects that then there will be no reason to answer anyone. We probably just need to dress for the occasion.
Specific Action: Lars will follow behind the group, entering Inventory and waiting to see what we're given for this task.
In Character: Thomas tries to get ready for the mission and he checks his inventory to see if he gets everything he needs. After doing that he will follow the group and wait to see what happens next.
Specific Action: Get ready for the mission and after that follow the group and wait to see what happens next.
Out of Character: Thomas is armed up like a trooper. Be prepared if they tell you to like chuck that stuff because they don't want you taking things that are going to make you look like you're going to war.
Out of Character: The tourists story can work until we reach the friendly and partially civilized tribe but will not be strong enough, in my opinion, to avoid suspicions on why we want to make contact with the newly discovered natives. Maybe we can build a story about us being part of a privately financed scientific expedition: we have the skills and the proper equipment so it will be easy for us pretending to be who, to some extent, we really are. What do you think?
Out of Character: I would not mentione the word "Science" or "Research" because that sounds like you're planning to 'invade' their space and conduct experiments. If the geo people catch wind of that they'll be all over us.
Actions posted.
Out of Character: We can maybe be on an anthropological mission: eco-friendly and not invasive. Tourists would never venture in the far recesses of the Amazonian forest to visit an unknown and potentially dangerous primitive tribe and being from the media is something they can easily check, since looks they have lot of links in that field.
