It does seem pretty open. The opportunity that was originally mine alone to converse is lost and it seems what ever edge I might have had in the situation is gone as well.

Maybe we could build a raft. Either Seth or Gault was using a machete earlier, so we could use that to take down small trees, if the natives let us. Tie enough sticks together with vines, and we're as good as there.
