In Character: Major looks over at Uhura with a confused expression wondering who it could be. He whispers through the comm,
"This could be either friendlies or the fierce natives but we're aren't supposed to engage them. Should we just stay still or make a run for it?"
Major knows at this point running will give them away because whomever it is will here the noise of the bushes.
Looking back at Major she uses her eyes to insist on staying putt. She plays the part of a bio-scientist trying to check the trees for insects while keeping an eye on who is coming out of the bushes.
In Character: Major looks over at Uhura expressionless wondering if she knows what to do. He feels that if they are friendly then they should not move but if they are going to attack they should react right away. The fear of the choice makes him freeze and wait.
In Character: Uhura looks back and shrugs slightly but she is thinking the same way as Dante wanting to know what will happen rather than initiate any action.
Out of Character: I just Major's actions. Don't we have a translating device or something so we can know what they're saying?
Out of Character: I believe the computers we have can do it but Uhura also has linguistics as one of her skills so maybe she'll be lucky.
This is in the first post of the adventure:
Out of Character: Nice one Fair.
In Character: Major is relieved this does not have to get bloody and he accepts their offer.
In Character: Uhura breathes a sigh of relief as she pretends to be very interested in what they have to eat.
Out of Character: Didn't base want us to remain here?
